In sandbox, there is no main quest. There is also no quest to recue your siblngss. But you can pick what age you start at.
In campaign, you get that main campaign, plus a nice little quest to rescue your two brothers and your sister. These make very nice additions to your party, and they are not in sandbox,
That main quest is fubar and contributes absolutely nothing to the game except heartache and frustration. And you do not need to do it to create a kingdom. The cool kids know this, and they play campaign mode, rescue their siblings, then ignore Nerretzes' Folly and play the game as a sandbox.
That banner doesn't do ♥♥♥♥ for you anyway.
It was. By the time I got to the forever war (and no matter how hard you try, it will always turn into a forever war), I was exhausted, pissed, and just abandoned that playthrough.
But obviously Campaign mode is better of the two modes, since you get the free family members. Otherwise, just ignore everything to do with the dragon banner and keep playing.
As Clovis said the banner doesn't do much at all. There is other banners in the game that is much better. The campaign does add content to the game thought that is lacking in that regard already. If you a player that need some sort of hand to hold you through a game or give you guidance, a goal to achieve etc, then sandbox is bad because you are left to make up your own story. In any regard it's all about hang on to the gameplay loop and play until you get bored and start a new game, or find another game to play.
1) rescue the brother / family from the bandits
2) make suecide with the new "suecide feature v 1.1"
3) play a OP brother-mainchar that would need 200 hours
all of this in 10 min v 1.1... it makes every difficult setting a joke.
