Engineer companion

Have they been removed from the game or something? I have been playing on a save for 1500 days approximately and haven't found a single companion with engineering skill.

there are tons in 1.1 so u are having bad luck.

In 1.1 they are one of the most common wanderers IMO

You might not believe me when I say this, but after making this discussion, the very first town I visited had an engineer... Finally after literally years of searching

you can easily search for the companions you want in the ingame encyclopedia, just sort the heroes by "wanderers" and you can go through them 1 by 1. their location updates every time you visit a town

at the world map press N. it will open up the encyclopedia, scroll down on the left side where the filter options are until you see hero type, select wanderers. that will give you a list of every companion you can hire. also there is a possibility that no companions were generated with the engineer prefix and checking this list is a good way to figure out if it did

It's not just 'Engineer'. Also look for 'Scholar' and 'Wainwright'. And I have a feeling there is another one that I just can't think of right now.

(Note: Not all Scholars are engineers. Some are surgeons.)

This is the way. where is a mod that lets you send them letters for a fee.
