.clanmember ( companion OR spouse/children ) assigned to defend/lead alley gets 200xp/day
.player character gets 40xp/day for each alley owned
.player character gets 1500xp/after first alley fight won, afterwards 40/day
.player character gets 6000xp/ alley defend event if you succesfully defend that is...
all xp gains here are roguery.
and if iirc alley daily denar gain is settlement prosperity at the time when daily tick, ticks / 50 .
and you gain 0.5 crime rating / day if you own an alley.
crime rating is faction-wide as far as i can tell in my game,
crime rating lowers per day , moreso with high roguery and the perk that specifically is for this.
I have done alley ownership 3 times, and never noticed my MAIN CHARACTER getting roguery xp. That's not to say I didn't get it.. but if I did it wasnt much... so I didnt notice.
You DO NOTICE the xp your companion earns. And the gold isnt bad, even for a medium power town. You get a decent amount, and it's relatively safe.. Compared to caravans etc.
No, and I don't even know what the "deal is".
So you take it over. U leave a dude and 10 troops. They stand there and turn into thugs for some reason. you get a decent amount of daily gold... Not bad.
Your Companion waiting there gets Rogue xp.
You get criminal rating (but I did alleys in towns I OWNED so it decreases immediately).
I did NOT notice my rogue xp going up.. but it probably did.
The "alley" I took over. That gang boss didnt care. Her relation stayed same. All was as normal, except once every few months. I'd get an alert. "run home, waste time, Kill 10 scrubs". Then leave again.
I'm not even sure what this is for? Seems like a lot of work for a hundred or 2 Denars a day. (the running back home to fight.. ).
As far as I can tell, I didnt turn into Jesse James, or Al Capone. I was more like your Local "subway sandwich shop".. that while not "quite illegal" always seems to be part of a group of 30 owned by the same dude from the same country.. and "we no do cuupons, due cost of food". "We no honor buy 1 get 1 5 dollar".
It isn't technically illegal, but sure seems criminal.
From now on When I take an alley, I'm just gonna pretend I'm Jared....
Errrrr nvm maybe not.
What this is for? It is for all the people crying about their criminal empires -)
Caravans have been way way better than some forum people chime in about. They have been decent for multiple patches.
the Current Main patch, and Beta patch.. caravans are still decent income.. and Now die far far less. (though not so little that there is NO risk)
Yeah caravans seem to be better BUT alleys arent bad, since if u are just hanging around THAT area... u can run back and fight the battles. And the gold isnt too bad either.
Still, I dont do them much either. mainly because I fight a lot. and need ZERO money. Sitting on 12 million right now.. year 17 of campaign, and have not smithed (for money) this whole campaign.
just play with fourberie, the rogue mechanics in that are far more interesting and fun
roguery in general is a waste of focus points because you get more than enough money from loot, the extra amount is not needed and could be better put to something else, unless you are really set on being a criminal for fun, that works too
