Your best bet will be to search this forum to see what has already been written on this subject. There has been a lot, including some nice and infirmative videos. Ignore the old ♥♥♥♥, as it is almost certainly wrong. But anything in the last few months should be good.
^^ this..
and it goes DOUBLY for youtubes.
I could have told u the best workshop for any city. MULTIPLE times.. over multiple patches..
But currently i have only a vague idea. As do most people.
Certainly someone could have put on Cheat mode. Set their trade to 200 (to give a good idea) then took all workshop related perks. Then went and did random tests, across ALL the towns, in ALL of calradia.. then come back in 3 years.. did it again.. then did it again in 10 more years (the workshop/trade numbers vary drastically depending on the AGE OF CAMPAIGN).
Then made a thread/youtube about it. So it is POSSIBLE, that info is out there. but doubtful.
My quick take:
Early on, none make much money.
Little bit later Some of the "consumables" make money but again, very little.
Little bit later you can make some money with the "end game" end product workshops (silversmith, furs etc).
And late late late game. Most (all? ) make a decent amount of money.
So which towns??? look who is CURRENTLY making jewelry. buy all the silversmiths in the area.. Keep one. Change ALL the silversmiths u arent gonna use to anything else.. Sell them back. now u have the ONLY silversmith around, in a great town, that historically has good silversmiths.
Win/win/win
