How to make baby

I have a wife, shes in my party, we are in an owned settlement. I've waited there for ages but we still never have baby. Any suggestions?

I use the mod: Family Control from Nexus.
(edit: is on Nexus not on Workshop, sorry about that)
Is very easy to use and has even an user friendly configuration, with a guaranteed 100% a child each encounter of max 3 day wait in a settlement.
And ever since I used this mod I really have no idea how is meant to be in vanila...

What are the ages of you two?
Does she have any other kids?
Are you in a village a town or castle ?
Do either of you have the perk to increase pregnancy chance?

here is my case:
main hero and his wife about 25, are together in the same army in the town.
She got pregnancy very quick the first time and afterwords since years - just nothing.
I waited for weeks in the same city, crafted, just waited for testing proposal.
I guess, TW just reduced very hard the possibility to get pregnant ab to second child.

The same situation with the brother and his wife.

Everybody who talking about 100s of children seems to use mods or play the different game version.

It took me 45 minutes of waiting once to get the wife pregnant. Had very fun time playing, staring at the screen waiting for the text about pregnancy to appear.

exctly! Thats it!
The solution today is just very... dont know, grindy and isnt funny!
But at least the first pregnancy comes very soon. So, I just dont care anymore, we have at least one child.
But it still very strange to see, there comes no next pregnancy at all, although we waiting often together in a city healing the troop after the fight or refilling a crafting stamina (what a funny solution too!) You have to wait a night if you want craft the next part!

Jokes aside I don't think the game cares about spending time with your spouse. It is just random, you could get the perk for increasing the chance though.

In my game now - the wife has this perk, the man hero not,
his brother and his wife got the perk each.
This two families got 1st child and now for years - nothing anymore.
And for sure game cares about spending time together with the wife.
The chance for pregnancy exists if you are with you wife together in the same location for some time.

I guess you're right about spending time together. Try resetting your perks by talking to the arena master and pick the perk on your main guy too. After reading some stuff online I realized it's just some dice roll which gets harder after first birth and old age.

and... lost Liena at age 28, yesterday, due to pregnancy death, after only 2 children.
(without the Death option)
The child survived though.

I am still not over it!
She made such good sandwiches ...

As such, I abandoned that sad World and started anew one, a new hope, to do thing better, for all man-kind with more and bigger sandwiches. And larger Castle-kitchens for the Ladies !

Her age and number of kids is the only factor.
