how to idendify clan leader?

I don't know if i'm missing something here but it seems there is no way to tell who the clan leader of a clan is. I want to marry my companion with a clans daughter and there are multiple men in the clan but no way to tell who the clan leader is. Is the only way to tell through process of elimination?

Use the encyclopedia. Look up the clan, and it will give you the leader.
