Game keeps crashing with or without Mods

I've enjoyed playing this game so much. I noticed that it supports Mods so I installed some, then the game just REFUSES to launch it keeps crashing non-stop, no matter what I do the game just crashes.
This is the message I get "The application faced a problem. We need to collect the necessary files to fix this problem. Would you like to upload these files now?" Whether I hit Yes or No, the game just crashes. I've LITERALLY TRIED EVERYTHING that I could find online, nothing seems to work. So I just gave up on Mods and now I just want to play the game without. Well, even that don't work no more. So I uninstalled the game and deleted all my saves, and re-installed it again, STILL NO LUCK!

Game is not broken.

I had this issue, was crashing my comp. No blue screen, just complete reboot.
Tried lower settings, still didnt work. Tried different graphics drivers, worked a little then back to nasty mc nasty.

Decided to clean my comp out of all dust.
Now it runs the game and 7 porn movies without blinking. (Humor free of charge).

Clean your comp lol. Especially all CPU and Vid heat sinks and the inside of the power supply.

Ill bet you that fix's yur world.

I just got this brand new gaming computer a month go, so I don't think cleaning it is the issue the issue.

If you used workshop unsubscribe mods. The resubscribe worked for me

I tried that, still no luck. I don't even want the Mods anymore. I lost 300 hours of gameplay, If I knew Mods were gonna mess up the game this much. I would've stayed far far away!

Install game to different location
Or delete game, delete or backup the leftover files in game directory and documents
Install game
This worked for me when I came from 1.7

I've heard some people had to reinstall windows and that fixed all their issues, others have said that uninstalling and hunting down all files and deleting them and then re installing helped them

not missing out on much by not playing this game anyway, could just aswell play warband mods and be better off for it

I have the same problem too. Came back after a long time to see what the release is like and I can't even get it to run.

Started after fresh installation, no problem
Quit and went installing mods
Harmony is bugged right now, causes crashes, so backrolled to no mods
Game crashes now with every startup, no matter what I do. Restart, reinstall, delete files from user and program data folder, nothing helps
Game is not startable via launcher

Wtf man. Just wtf. How is it possible that mods can PERMANENTLY disable my PC to run this game no matter what I do? This gotta be a very bad joke.

Only workaround I found so far is manually starting the game via Bannerlord.Native.exe .So no launcher, no mods, nothing.

Coming back 2 years later just to see that this game is still a bugmess even without playing it. Just wow.

If anybody knows fix, please tell us.

Ok, got it to run, even with mods and harmony, which was not possible before. However, it worked more coincidently than by structured trouble shooting.

How I encountered the problem:

Fresh install after two years, started via launcher, worked. Quit the game, installed mods (especially harmony which threw a crash to desktop) it crashed while starting. Even after uninstalling the mods, I couldn't start the game via launcher anymore, only manually starting the Bannerlord.Native.exe would work.

Tried reinstalling, deleting all folders, documents etc, not working with or without mods.

Fix which worked for me:

Unsubscribe all mods, then uninstall, delete all residue files, reinstall, then delete ONLY the modules folder, then check for file integrity via steam. It reinstalls the modules folder

Then I could start the game via launcher again. Quit and reinstalled mods. THEY NOW WORK. Even harmony although it priorly caused the CTD.
I also saw the difference: Now the mods in the launcher have up to two exclamation marks, one red, one yellow, showing dependencies and everything. They didn't show up before.

So I cannot tell what exact combination of steps led to my game working, but it did.

Thank you for this, however it still did not work. I just uninstalled the game and I'll wait until the devs fix this issue. Apparently, A LOT of players are pissed about this and they're giving up on the game
I've given up too honestly, I just bought Cyberpunk and I'm Moding the hella of it !!

the game crashing even with no additional modes. i am playing on the original modes but still crashing. uninstall and reinstall still same !!!
