Is there a cap on child limit?
So I know that spouse age and amount of children affects the chance of getting pregnant, but is there a cap on how many you can have?

Right now my spouse is 24 years old and we have 5 children and I have been sitting for hours trying to get her... PREGANTE! My plan was to get one more child and have her die at child birth to get a new spouse, but this one is throwing wrenches in my plans!

Afaik, no limit, but the more you get the less chance for more. Save scum and wait, rinse and repeat...

I made the brother a govenor, and his wife govenor another place. Each time she wasn't prego, I picked her up and tossed her in the same town as the brother. They got 6 atm. I'm afraid she done her duty at 38 though. the last arrived at 36.

I'm only playing sandbox but I get what you mean!

Guess luck is not just on my side then. I'll keep at it!

Odds of having a 6th child are pretty slim, but if she's only 24, it will happen. But it may take a while. You might want to Save, then wait together for a month, then reload if no kid. Rinse and Repeat. Maybe you'll get lucky and get twins.

There's an achievement for having 7 kids.

I play as a mercenary, my hero, his brother and wives of them both are also in same army too.
We are taking few days time to time in the different towns, both wives got 1 child each very soon and now for years - no pregnancy at all!
I guess this function is nerfed to the hell now!

I'm not sure why but it was tuned to be super unrealistic.
So to try to make sense, it's the mans fault. Men's sex drive dies as they get older. It's all downhill after 18. So it's not your wife not getting pregnant, it's the husband avoiding the act entirely.

I read from a dev that it depends on the age of the wife, after 45 she can't get kids. Didn't read anything about the husbands age got anything to do with it? Either way my character is only 24 too so I don't know >_>

not a limit, but as was said above - chance goes down. zero to do with man, everything to do with wife`s age and amount of children before. more age, more children = less chance for another child.
reload helps. no need to wait for month. reload after waiting for smithing stamina regenerates is enough.
had tons of babies this way always. plus, there is cheat console command to make wife pregnant.

Afaik, you get the messasge at the "daily tick" when wages get paid. But if you going to save scum, then reload for EVERY day would be quite tedious.

to me sitting in one place for month, wasting all that early, precious game time is just stupid. reload at smithing is easy. ofc further it goes with children, more reloads needed. one can play ironman and do things that way. who cares.

It has nothing to do with the daily tick, the pregnancy check is 6x per day and this is the reason, why the base chance for 18 years old wife with 0 childs, is only 13%.

That's pretty different from the explanation given at https://www.bannerlordperks.com/perk;skill=charm (check the Virile perk), but IDK which one of right about it.

I dont know if the information there up to date.
And it is not an ofiicial source.
In my current game both wives of teh hero and his brother dont get pregnant since years, while they resting in the town, are jung enough and have gotten 1 child each former. That is everything but not 30% chance at all!

I know exactly what you're talking about, I wouldn't be surprised if the odds are less than that.

But it's not a +30% chance, it's 30% chance on the already low chance. You can read about it in this thread (Answered by a dev)

https://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php?threads/disabled-infertility-chance-and-instead-introduced-a-reduced-pregnancy-probability-with-every-additional-child-how-much-tho.432081/

Edit: Also on https://www.bannerlordperks.com/perk;skill=charm they say this:

"This perk multiplies the hero's (or his wife's) daily chance of getting pregnant by 1.3 (+30%). This only works if the woman is old enough and able to get pregnant in the first place, and the hero and his/her spouse are located in the same settlement during the daily morning tick. The base chance is 24% per day (for an 18 year old woman with no children), this perk would make that 31% per day."
