How to make your wife pregnant?
I got married at 30 to a woman of about 20. Now I'm 65 and still no heir.

So my question is : what are the conditions for having children? Does our wife have to stay in our group or can she stay to rule a city? Do we have to have a high relationship?

I appreciate any tips you have, although I think my game is over at this point. I play in sandbox btw.

Thanks

best way to do it is
save file, both wait in settlement for couples days doing nothing (usually 3-4days )
if not preg, load save and try again.

its best to get brother and sister in law together, usually preg together XD

sometimes collecting tax quest will get u preg in village, (normally i dont think u can preg waiting in village, need test to comfirm)

so i guess waiting in siege camp will also get u preg

What do you mean by "settlement for couples"? Does it mean in an random town? and just wait without doing anything?

I know for sure that having your wife in your party and resting in settlement can get her pregnant.
Im currently trying to see if I can have my wife as governor, and me rest in the same town, to see if that also works.

Be in the same town as your wife and wait there, you will eventually get a message telling you your wife is pregnant, if your wife is now 55 i would say its too late.
Also take the fertile perk when you can

ok so if i understand correctly, we stay in the city menu and we speed up the time until she gets pregnant?

If so, it's not a very interesting game mechanic, isn't it? And the worst part is that it's explained nowhere or did I miss something?

yes, wife governer, sitting in her settlement for couple days will get her preg as well

it suppose to get wife preg randomly after each fight u wait in town to heal up or get rid of disorganized stat. but random % is so low you could be waiting for year and not preg,

so best practice would be just go in town, and click wait in settlement with save file .

You could just take her to your party - as you'll probably rest a few times in settlements on your travels she'll get pregnant eventually. That's how I made sure my couples do their conjugal duty. ;)

Ok i understand but i never rest after a fight as i took the advantage to heal up faster while i'm traveling.

Well, that's a pretty bad gameplay mecanic imo.

Its based on the daily wage tick at the start of the day. You and all the clan members you can direct have the requirement of needing both members to be in the same settlement on the wage tick. AI and the females you marry off can have kids through magic. Age and number of kids the wife had alter the pregnancy chances. So as the others said have your wife in your party or you go to the settlement she is in, save the game before the wage tick and let the game go forward 10+ days or however many you're ok with skipping. Also the wife can die during childbirth at which point get a new wife. The baby can also die, so save near the end of the expected delivery i think its like 60+ days

Aye, you'll have to be in a settlement during morning wages tick, with your spouse. The base chance is 24%, and it goes down with age and the number of children had.
