Why is the campaign so boring?
Go to the other side of the map, do task - go to the other side of the map, do task - Go to the other side of the map, do task etc. what sort of brain rot is this? Lords can't handle their towns and they constantly get rebellions. Lords eventually vote in ♥♥♥♥ diplomacy that costs 2390482 influence to revert and start war with multiple factions for no other reason but to delay the end of the game. The siege AI is so bugged I can handle a full siege with 50 troops against almost any amount of units. With level 36 and my combat skills maxed out I just wish I had gone with tactics, engineering, leadership, medicine, steward instead. Because the amount of dreary slaughtering of stupid AI gets so old quickly I just wish I could resolve the encounters quickly so I can get to the next step of the campaign already. Playing as a bandit is also ♥♥♥♥ because there is no reason other than to lose opportunities in the map. sijdfhsjdihfieifhuidfghuifshfirejkrg:ninjagatwirl::ninjagatwirl:

I don't know. It's a chore most of the time but still i have more fun than boredom. Otherwise I would play something else.

yee i feel like this game is just a vessel for role play imo....main story is there but i think its assumed players will have their own motivations for most things/features of the game. (i know its not a valid excuse for having a chicken scratch written story lol) But there's quite a bit of lore too so for me personally its never bothered me much because i enjoy the lore stuff allot.

You can play the sandbox if you think the campaign quests are more hindrance than benefit.

The game is shallow as is possible. The battles are fun. That. is. all. there. is. I am waiting for someone to make a mod like Nova Aetis (doubt that is spelled correctly after all these years) from Warband. Literally way back then they added boats and a new world. Interesting "jobs" like wood cutting, faming, and a class system. You could literally found a colony, and design it by placing buildings........Going to your colony to bring back the exotic trade goods was fun. Lmao it was so good and now all these years later they release... This. Its's insane to me how incompetent this studio must be. Rooting for you modders, you beautiful beautiful people.

it is indeed for extend game time. at first, problem was snowballing. i suspect, cultural -3 was to offset this. to make kingdoms not starting idiotic wars should be not too hard to impelement. i think it is intentional. for example, if i help some kingdom to become very powerful, all other kingdoms forget everyting else and go for endless was with one i chose to advance.

and yes, if player goes for the endgame, then for the player tactics, int and charm skills are so over the others, that vig and cotrol skillsjust nearly stops to matter. autoresolve becomes used 100% of the time.

Oh right, also if you encounter various costs which run in millions, it might be an overflow bug. I'm not sure if those have been stamped out completely yet. Closing the interface/window and trying again should if fix it in most circumstances.

u need challenge if u find it boring, limit urself to throwable weapons XD
How exactly you think life as an 11th century warlord would go? Did you think it would just be breezily traveling from adventure to adventure, served by a host of obsequious retainers sworn to carry your burdens, fawned upon as hero of the blindly loyal populous?

how do you win a siege defence with 50 troops?

If you don't like the campaign, then don't do it. You can completely ignore it. That's what the cool kids do -- Rescue their siblings, then ignore that Neretzes' Folly crap and play it like a sandbox.

You miss nothing by blowing off that maIn quest. You can still create a kingdom when you want.

Not sure if op meant specifically the campaign mission, or the game overall. As I would agree, the map feels very empty and soul-less, there is no immersion into a 'world', the NPCs feel like chickens with their heads cut off running around randomly.

Its very strange to me as I have put many hours into Total War games, I believe I should like this game. But there is something off and I very quickly when playing feel I am wasting my time and should really go do something more constructive with my time.

No, what I'm saying is that the campaign is basically modular pieces put together in order to make for a "long" game. A game can be challenging without being tedious. My vassals are calling for peace when we are winning, for more war when we are losing and I have to spend around 1650 influence for every vote. Which means I just end up executing every damn lord I meet because the only way of damaging an enemy faction is to devastate villages, castles, towns and execute captives (which also means you can't have companions that doesn't allow you to do this in your party; they will leave and then I don't have a steward, surgeon, engineer or scout). Characters with devious traits are usually garbage.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan of Bannerlord and the m&b series, been playing it since the first demo of m&b actually. I'm just at that point where I can kill over 300 people in every battle without feeling that my effort matters; might as well just auto resolve every battle (it's just I'm level 37 right now and it takes forever to level up other skills). I'm just surprised the campaign was so lackluster and feels awkwardly put together.
