Realistic Battle Mod AI is not good?
TL;DR: Can I disable RBM AI and keep armor tweaks?

___
I've played game around 1.5.x without mods and left it to play on full release with mods.

I didn't like the armor system then and was looking for mods to correct armor effectiveness. Came across RBM and reading about it got me really excited. Armor redone, damage tweaks, archercy speeds, tactical AI... what is not to love? I was satisfied with game AI but can it be better? Sign me in!

So, on full release, I've installed my my 50+ mod list and started playing. Everything is good but as I played more, there is something that bothers me: AI is, how can I say, "slow".

Let me give you an example: I have my 10 man against some barracks in shieldwall. Enemy is 5 cavalry, no archer nor infantery. Game AI will try to hold their shieldwall on forward and barracks' wall on their back while cavalry charges them, cavalry will hit the wall since they don't use break and there will be un-tactical clash of swords. That is not ideal but somehow understandable. Logical thing would be cavalry to aplroach from sides to tease them and break them until they divide or something that and to my man, face archer with shield on at every maneuver and use polearms if they have one.

With RBM AI; I've positioned them like I said. Cavalry scattered around, I am like "okay they will charge from sides to break me prepare guys". Then, nothing? They attacked, not charged from no obvious side. Eh, hit and run I said. But what is worse I noticed something terrible. Both my man and cavalry swinging/thrusting their weapons like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, with no aim and no timing. One of my man started swinging his sword AFTER cavalry passed him 1 meter. I am like, dude, why bother.

Anyway, maybe I played 10 battle and none was different. Always the same retarded action times. Then I remembered RBM has to tweak with AI:/

My question is this; is there a way to play with RBM changes and game AI? A setting, a different mod or without mod but config change etc.?

I think what you're looking for specifically is under the RBM configuration on the main menu. You can toggle whether to use Vanilla/RBM AI under the options there. I'm assuming you got all the utility mods if you're running with that many so you should be able to see it - check RBM Configuration, then under the RBM AI category, then enable the vanilla AI block/parry/attack, since it'll be off by default on installation

i dont think it will be better without the mod tbh, good luck with that cause what you say happens in vanilla too, its just how the AI is made, if youd only field a max of 100 troops it would prob be better, but cause you can field 1000 troops its not so good so your PC wont explode.

also please dont say "correct armor effectiveness" if there is nothing to correct, you want to play with changed armor? fine, but dont act like vanilla isnt working, i really love the armor balance in vanilla and find it perfect even still after 800 hours all on bannerlord difficulty.
