Questions about attributes and focus points
I've been trying to think a little bit about how I want to play.

I thought I would do the following:

VIG(3) Two Handed(2)
CTR(3) Bow (2)
END(7) Riding, Athletics, Smithing(5)
CNG(2) None
SOC(7) Charm, Leadership, Trade(5)
INT(7) Steward, Medicine(5)

It only takes 7 attributes and 5 focus points to reach the maximum, right?

So I could then reach the maximum for all 12? END, SOC, INT.

And then spread the rest of the attributes and focus points into VIG and CTR?

Does that work? :)

---- Updated ----

VIG(2) Two Handed(2)
CTR(2) Bow (2)
END(7) Riding, Athletics, Smithing(5)
CNG(2) None
SOC(8) Charm, Leadership, Trade(5)
INT(8) Steward, Medicine(5)

I believe it take 8 attributes and 5 focus points to reach a max of 300.

It takes 7 plus 5 for a max of 275 because 6 plus 5 only goes to 274. Jerks.

Here's a table --
This is the max skill level you can reach for given combinations of focus and attribute points. These are where the skill number turns red and cannot go up anymore.

Focus 0 1 2 3 4 5
------- --- --- --- --- --- ---
1 Attr 4 / 44 / 84 / 124 / 144 / 184
2 Attr 18 / 58 / 98 / 138 / 178 / 218
3 Attr 32 / 72 / 112 / 152 / 192 / 232
4 Attr 46 / 86 / 126 / 166 / 206 / 246
5 Attr 60 / 100 / 140 / 180 / 220 / 260
6 Attr 74 / 114 / 154 / 194 / 234 / 274 <-- ♥♥♥♥ move
7 Attr 88 / 128 / 168 / 208 / 248 / 288
8 Attr 102 / 142 / 182 / 222 / 262 / 302
9 Attr 116 / 156 / 196 / 236 / 276 / 316
10 Attr 130 / 170 / 210 / 250 / 290 / 330

Formula = ((Attr*14)-10)+(Focus*40))

That's to reach 275 skill for the best perk, but not max skill. So, yes, that's a plan to get 275 in 3 skills.

Does that make a big difference: 300(302) instead of 275(288)?

Then I would have to leave VIG and CTR at 2 and could push 2 of the 3 up to 8.

Athletics and smithing give Vigor/Control/Endurance free points so you might not need to raise it to the 7att/5Focus

Most go to 275 max, but Trade goes to 300. Maybe others. And Two-Handed only goes to 250.

That Trade 300 Everything Has Its Price is a nice one. It lets you barter fiefs.

Is there also a list of all skills and their max levels?

So SOC should be 8. :)

Hmmm... then I have to watch this carefully ingame. But that would be welcome if VIG and CTR were pushed. And END would be then also on 8, perfect. :)

You may consider not to dump tactics completely, If you aim for big endgame wars and sieges. You just won't have enough time to do everything "manually" unless you intend to play no-lifer style. Supposedly tactics should hugely help in simulated battles.

I am generally not a fan of simulating. I never did it in Total War either. :P
And to level up tactics, you do have to simulate very often, right? I don't like.. but I know what you mean.

Get character manager mod out of the workshop. Calculate .25 attrib per level and 1 focus per level and just add a few points to make yourself a bit more dynamic.

Sounds like cheating haha.

It depends on what the capstone perk is. Trade capstone requires 300, two-handed only 250. Effect from something like Steward capstone perk Price of Loyalty does not make a significant difference between 275 and 300 since it calculates its effect from skill minus 200. Leadership capstone also won't give a huge benefit: You can reach party size of 400+ reather easily with just 275+ in Leadership, having 25 or so more troops won't make or break your game at that point. Legendary Smith won't even gain any benefit from higher skill until skill level of 300 is reached (its base effect unlocks at the usual 275).

Medicine capstone effect of +1 HP for ALL troops in your party for every 2 skill levels above 200 is probably the best in the game.

You can also increase several attributes by leveling up athletics and smithing, perhaps more skills(?) also your children and your siblings start with many more attributes than you and it might eventually be possible to max much more.
