Banner bug with mod "Serve as a soldier"?

I've played as the Vlandians with the mod serve as a soldier on, I recently left the army I was in, just to find my banner still tied with the army. I've tried to use the banner paste mod, but only to find that it doesn't only change my family banner but also the banner of the family that I was serving in. it honestly doesn't affect the gameplay that much but it's really annoying cause I keep mistaking my citys with the others cause we have the same banner. I've spent many hours playing on that that save... Any suggestion on how to fix this problem??

Are you sure you permanently left the army, and didn't just "go on leave" or off on a side quest associated with said army?

They do but I never got a respond after I contacted them.

Well I think I've tried all the way possible to leave the army, And it doesn't fix it. It's almost like I'm appart of the family without being the leader, it's weird.

Have you gone to the Clan page and changed the looks of your banner?

I did, But as I explained, it also change the banner of the family I was serving in, almost like I'm a member of that family, But when I look in the family I'm currently in, it says that I'm in the one I created.

I'm sorry to say but you may just have to restart a new game or... start a new kingdom maybe? If that family isn't in your kingdom the game is bound to differentiate yours and their banner.
Well, I see that you own towns though so you must have created a kingdom already. That sucks.

I run e1.8.0 and do have that mod. It isn’t causing any problems on my game.
There must be another mod messing with it on your game.

I think too, I play with many mods, and one of them being CC's Banners. My most logical theory is the bug is caused by when you start a game and choose a banner added by the CC's banner mod.

Hey, replying two years after, had the exact problem and found a solution that worked for me, posting it for achiving.

1 - Let's clear a couple dead ends:

- I too used CC's Banners, but disabling didn't fix the issue, so I don't think this mod was the problem.
- I've seen people talking about using Banner Color Persistence (now with BannerPaste) to fix it, but it doesn't seem to work.
- Earn My Banner is a mod especially made to prevent tier 0 clans to edit banner, but I don't use it, so the issue didn't come from it.

2 - The prime suspect and why:

I noticed once my character creation was complete and I jumped on the campaign map I couldn't edit my banner anymore (by clicking on my banner in Clan tab or pressing B).

My guess is that Serve As Soldier doesn't allow us to do anything with our banner if our clan renown is tier 0 (doesn't matter if we already enlisted or not, we just can't edit it once the game has started).

3 - How I fixed it:

So I had to cheat a bit and set my clan renown to at least tier 1 (in my case I used Character Reload mod to do so, but maybe we can also use a console command).

Then I could edit my banner normally (pressing B still didn't work, but I could click on the banner in Clan tab this time) and revert back clan renown to 0 without losing my newly edited banner.

Lords I was enlisting with didn't copy my banner anymore and even when I left their parties I could see my own back.

4 - Notes:

- This trick didn't seem to work if a lord already "copied" my banner when I previously joined with him, meaning the lord clan's will now keep the banner I had when enlisting with him, even if I abandonned his party right after.
- If I'm still in his party, I can still edit his banner by clicking on mine (in my clan tab), but it will be his forever.
- Once I'm on my own (not in any lord party) I could then edit my own banner.

Feel free to correct me and share other/better solutions.
