Banners?
Well, I have just for the first time gotten a banner from winning a tournamente, and promptly placed it on the banner slot in the inventory. However, I don't know how they work and how to make them be carried into battle. Can someone explain how they work?

Ah, so I have to make myself the captain of a formation for it to appear, thanks! I assume only that formation will get its bonuses

Yes... But after a while you start collect a lot of banners that give bonus's to all kind of stuff. So have good captains for your formations paired with banners that give a nice bonus for the given units can make you able to go toe to toe with greater numbers much easier.

Assign them in the pre-battle screen. You need to have at least 20 units in your party afaik.
