New child ? ok but boy or girl ?
Sometimes it s diffucult to say if the child is a boy or a girl because the name given by the game is so... strange. It could be both ! Moreover when the baby grows up I can t see his age. Ok so let s sum up the situation : I ve got a child and I dont even know if it s a boy or a girl and how old he is. What a good father I am.

agreed. If it is first child, you can go to encyclopedia and click around on "It" and you, and your spouse.. eventually u see "....is a daughter of Sly".. it's there, I just forget where.

It is easier if they have a sibling. click on the SIBLING. then look at the screen in encyclopedia and it shows if they are SISTER OR BROTHER, to the person u are clicked on. You might have to click on someone else to see if the first person u clicked on is male or female.

Really needs a better icon to let us know whos who.. but the way I mentioned works.. and is how I've done it since kids and siblings were introduced

edit, the age is there too... somewhere. it tells when they were born.. or u could click on the mother... in the events area.. and it shows when she had a child.. the date. but there is TWO places it shows a kids age, both require a bit of searching, and I cant remember exactly what to click, but just messing around in encyclopedia with the relatives will enable u to figure it out

You can see the child's age and gender when you go to Clan window, click on the picture of the baby and the Encyclopedia should open, then you can see his/her age.

As far as gender, it shouldn't matter if you don't marry the girl off but instead wait for your character to die ( or kill it off ° then play as your daughter.

If you absolutely want a boy then make sure you have a save of two or three days before it's born and reload the game until it's a boy.

Not true, the gender is very important in Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord, because females can not marry and the time is against them,

Male clan members can always marry and stay in your clan(Don't marry them to female clan leaders(they cheat the game by taking the men to their clan)).
