Training troops fast?

Im tired of farming looters.

Aim for the skill that lets you level troops with loot you don't take after battles. Steward skill has the armors version of this and the weapons version is uhhh... somewhere. I usually don't go for the weapons one tho cause I smelt them instead for smithing mats. Oh and there's also quite a few skills with +exp/day and + exp% after battles you could keep an eye out for too.

How viable is the equipment skill, aka how much does it truly take to level troops up with it? I've avoided smithing so far as it seems to kinda break the game with the money in general.

Oh the experience gained can get nutty when you're doing large-scale battles. 30k+ exp from a single fight from armors skill alone.

it's the 4th skill on the bottom row so not too much investment to get either. Worth a try to see if you like it. But maybe you won't if you rely on selling all the loot for gold.

OH damn, looks like Ill have to work on those then, biggest struggle Ive had is training a army so I can constantly fight lords mid-game, because generally I only leveled troops through quests early game.

1-Hand
Level 100 Trainer. Melee Troops get +5% exp after every battle
Level 150 Military Tradition. Infantry troops gain +2 exp daily
Level 175 Lead by example. Troops in your party gain 5% more experience after each battle.
2-Hand
Level 75 Baptised in Blood. Infantry in your party gain +5 experience for each enemy you kill with a 2-handed weapon. All melee infantry troops in your party gain 5% more xp in battles.
Polearm
Level 200 Drills All troops in your party gain additional 1 xp per day.
Bow
Level 125 Trainer Everyday the party member with lowest bow skill gains experience in bow.
Bow equipped troops in your party gain +3 xp everyday.
Level 200 Bulls Eye Ranged troops in your party gain an additional 10% of the total xp earned after battles.
Crossbow
Level 100 Renown Marksmen Your ranged troops gain 2 xp everyday.
Level 175 Mounted Crossbowman Ranged troops gain 5% more xp after battles.
Throwing
Level 200 Saddlebags Your infantry troops in your party gain +1 xp everyday.
Level 225 Resourceful Throwing weapon equipped troops gain 10% more xp after battles.
Athletics
Level 150 A Good Days Rest Foot troops in your party gain 10 xp everyday while waiting in settlements.
Level 150 Walk It Off Foot troops in your party gain 3 xp everyday while traveling.

Lots more in Leadership and Steward. You can get ridiculous amounts of exp for your troops without even taking Paid in Promise or Giving Hands, and with those perks you can keep a solid force of 300+ tier 5/6 troops all trained up later in the game.
