Marriage offer for my brother. Should I?
Hi!
So I got a notification that a courier brought a marriage offer for my brother Niasen to someone. The offer is to marry Mesui (which is good in my opinion... right?)

I'm just wondering, apart from a good rep boost with her, what do I gain from letting him go with her? From what I've seen by saving before and letting him marry, I seem to lose him as a companion. What are the perks of doing this? Should I keep him?

Thx!

2- Find a wife for you that is OF THE CULTURE YOU WANT TO MAINLY OWN. (if you are battania, for the faction bonus' but want to expand east into Empire. Marry a top tier Empire Wife. Who is young of course)

3- Marry your brother to a top tier female (i.e. corein, ira, svana, etc...) that is in the NEXT closest area you plan to expand to (ahh I plan to take over Northern Empire, then go to Sturgia).. cool marry him to svana.

4- Marry your YOUNGER brother to any TOP TIER female that is left (by time he is mature most GOOD wives are gone...).

5- DO NOT MARRY your sister off if you are new (use her to run a caravan, get some trade skill.. then put her as a Governor if u get awarded a fief of your culture.. i.e. battania, before you START expanding into empire).

6- As you have kids, do the same things, You will have tons of prospective WIVES to choose from for you sons. There are many many many powerful females in the "next" generation of nobles to marry.

7- For your DAUGHTERS AND NIECES, you have some choices.. You can keep them as governors (not a bad idea)... or MARRY them to NOBLES in your faction (assuming u are king). Which nobles??? the ones who have dying clans. Often in late game some good clans (tier 5-6) have 1-2 nobles left. everyone else is dead. And often those nobles are too old to breed.. errr Have kids. So you can HOPE to find one, where there is a male of birthing age.. and marry your daughter to them, and TRY to keep that clan alive (it usually works.. but not always.. I probably have a 95% success rate).

This would be my advice on marrying.

Oh, and don't marry faction leaders or clan leaders.. your Brother would go off to JOIN Mesui.. not the other way around. and she cant have kids anymore anyway. Waste of two characters.

Keep him. You do not want to lose him. He is one of the best governors in the game, and if you marry him off, you really do not get anything worth a ♥♥♥♥ in return.

naw, don't ever marry anyone off. reputation isn't worth a lost companion/governor/party

hopefully they make relation matter, currently it's just a influence discount and vote support.

if they're vassals in your kingdom, you can send them your family so their lineage won't die out. other than that there's no point to diplomatic marriages.

Women in your clan, unless they are the clan leader, go to the clan they marry. The women men in your clan marry bring that woman into your clan, again unless they are the clan leader. So, marry you're brother and sons (but, not to clan leaders) do not marry off your sister and daughters.
