Mods that train your skills, or increase XP gains.
I am deep into a campaign, and have no desire to restart, some of my skills are so slow to level.

Are there any mods that anyone knows of that allows you to spend money at a trainer to increase your skills. I've seen some mods that increase XP gain, but they need a new save, which I'm not interested in right now.

thank you for your time.

I don´t know. This system here requires You to plan Your character before You start the game, because there are hard caps and it doesn´t really matter if You use the skill or not to increase it, as You need focus and attribute points in it, which are gained via basepoints, which You always get - but at a certain level it gets really slow, too. It´s probably the worst skill system any game has to offer. :o)

For mods - and if those require a new savegame. I guess it´s connected to the way how they calculate it here. They probably do it in another way from scratch, so it wouldn´t be compatible with an ongoing game.

Perhaps the easiest solution is to use cheats. Like max out everything, 5 focus and 10 attribute points - and then You can level it, like one would understand the system, even if some skills level faster than others. You would still gain new attribute and focus points, when You level up, but You can just ignore them, as everything they do is enabling You to level a skill - which You already achieved.

If I don't find a mod that adds trainers that let me pay to train skills, I'm probably just going to use a cheat to increase my skills and deduct cash from my character.

Just wanted to find a way to make it feel more "real".

Maybe, or just accept that I won't realistically hit a handful of the high level skills prior to my character dying of old age.

There is "Train your clan" mod which allow you to train your hero skills with gold, I don't remember if you can train your own character however.

You can´t increase a skill after a certain point. Every focus point adds 40 to the hard cap and every attribute point 14 (minus a bit). So to reach the last perk You need 7 attribute points and 5 focus points. If You have like 3 attribute points and 3 focus points the cap would be 152. You can´t increase the skill further without investing more points. Only way is to have a drastic boost at one time, because then somehow the cap doesn´t seem to apply. Like having 2 intelligence and no focus points would mean a cap of 18. But if You hit with a catapult You get so many points, that You get to 22 at one time - or they changed the formula. But afterwards You won´t get more points, even if You destroy whole armies with a ballista. Hard cap. You still get base points, so eventually You get a level up, but after level 30 or at least 32 it is so slow, that i wouldn´t count on it.

The whole system doesn´t feel realistic or natural. Either You have skill increase through use - or after level up. This combines both in the worst way possible. It´s a trap for new players, too - because anyone would probably think it´s about skill use, and just speeding up the process via these focus points, while the question is why they have attributes - but it´s about setting those caps with the points. Nothing more. And it´s hard to get like 10 attribute points in two skill-lines - and focus points are rare either, because leveling up gets very slow at some point. Why? I don´t know. Game design decision to take away the fun i guess. :o)

Kaoses Tweaks has skill XP scaling tweaks, but it also has a lot of other features you may not want. There is also another mod that deals with just skill XP alone although I can't remember the name of it.

Nahh, you can get a good deal further than that pretty fast. However, it does require going into control/archery so it might not help for the build you want.

You mean these 10% additional xp after battle perks? I ask myself if they stack. One says ranged and the one in one handed says infantry. Usually any bowman on foot should have 20% more XP. Or do You mean, because bow gives much xp because of the shots? Or is there any other perk?

Anyway - let´s have like 8 levels more, that´s 2 attribute points and 8 focus points, but we have more skills as party leader, who probably also wants to fight as the player - and the perks are all over the place, while giving benefits to specific roles. You can´t even really specialize this way - or don´t need to think about the choice. Not that the game would be super-hard even at zero skill level, but - just - why? ^^

I would advice against using Kaoses Tweaks for 1.8.0, unfortunately it seems to be quite buggy for that version. Just read the posts on Nexus.
I don't know of any mod that does exactly what you're looking for, but there is "Bannerlord Cheats", wich you can use to increase your xp gain. However, unlike with Kaoses Tweaks, you can not adjust this for every single skill, just globally for all skills, wich might not be everyone's cup of tea. It also has lots of other cheat options, wich can be ignored, though. I also use it just for speeding up leveling of my own character and my companions a little bit, since Kaoses Tweaks is out of the picture right now and some skills just take way too long to level up. If i remember correctly, "Train your Clan" can not be used to improve your own skills, just those of your companions, but i'm not using this mod right now, so you might want to check that yourself.

EDIT: I just went to check, and it seems that you can train your own character with "Train your Clan" aswell, so this one might be exactly what you're looking for. Just make sure to get the 1.8.0 updated version, since the original one wasn't updated in a while and won't work.

sandbox you start at 20 30 40 or 50 years. every +10 years give you 1 attribute point and 2 skill points. and skills like athlethic and smithing give you 5+ more points.

... so you can get a very high lvl (maybe 40+), but you must plan your mainchar carfully and have a very short life-time.

No, for you personally. Once you hit the high levels in archery it is just easier to deliver killshots at a high distance; which greatly multiply the amount of XP you gain. When you get into level 30+ you can fairly easily rake in a few 100k base xp per fight without too much hassle.

But again, yes, it doesnt necessarily help you. It can give you alot more focus points, but it tend to be the attribute points that end up being the bottleneck.

Just the base points count for level up. The multipliers are just for the skills. As far as i know. So You don´t get more levels if You gain higher skills, but You need higher levels to expand the cap in the skills.
