For mods - and if those require a new savegame. I guess it´s connected to the way how they calculate it here. They probably do it in another way from scratch, so it wouldn´t be compatible with an ongoing game.
Perhaps the easiest solution is to use cheats. Like max out everything, 5 focus and 10 attribute points - and then You can level it, like one would understand the system, even if some skills level faster than others. You would still gain new attribute and focus points, when You level up, but You can just ignore them, as everything they do is enabling You to level a skill - which You already achieved.
Just wanted to find a way to make it feel more "real".
Maybe, or just accept that I won't realistically hit a handful of the high level skills prior to my character dying of old age.
The whole system doesn´t feel realistic or natural. Either You have skill increase through use - or after level up. This combines both in the worst way possible. It´s a trap for new players, too - because anyone would probably think it´s about skill use, and just speeding up the process via these focus points, while the question is why they have attributes - but it´s about setting those caps with the points. Nothing more. And it´s hard to get like 10 attribute points in two skill-lines - and focus points are rare either, because leveling up gets very slow at some point. Why? I don´t know. Game design decision to take away the fun i guess. :o)
Anyway - let´s have like 8 levels more, that´s 2 attribute points and 8 focus points, but we have more skills as party leader, who probably also wants to fight as the player - and the perks are all over the place, while giving benefits to specific roles. You can´t even really specialize this way - or don´t need to think about the choice. Not that the game would be super-hard even at zero skill level, but - just - why? ^^
I don't know of any mod that does exactly what you're looking for, but there is "Bannerlord Cheats", wich you can use to increase your xp gain. However, unlike with Kaoses Tweaks, you can not adjust this for every single skill, just globally for all skills, wich might not be everyone's cup of tea. It also has lots of other cheat options, wich can be ignored, though. I also use it just for speeding up leveling of my own character and my companions a little bit, since Kaoses Tweaks is out of the picture right now and some skills just take way too long to level up. If i remember correctly, "Train your Clan" can not be used to improve your own skills, just those of your companions, but i'm not using this mod right now, so you might want to check that yourself.
EDIT: I just went to check, and it seems that you can train your own character with "Train your Clan" aswell, so this one might be exactly what you're looking for. Just make sure to get the 1.8.0 updated version, since the original one wasn't updated in a while and won't work.
... so you can get a very high lvl (maybe 40+), but you must plan your mainchar carfully and have a very short life-time.
But again, yes, it doesnt necessarily help you. It can give you alot more focus points, but it tend to be the attribute points that end up being the bottleneck.
Ah thanks. I was unsure about that - i thought i missed some perk. ^^
