Interrupt threshold
What does this mean? im leveling the crossbow tree and not sure what lowering the threshold means. Does it mean you can more easily move while reloading, be able to load your bolts while being attacked or something else?

The interrupt threshold is the flinch threshold, which spoils your aim.
There are perks to increase this value, but they're still so low that getting grazed by a horses hip-check will still make you flinch.

Likewise, even a glancing blow from a looters broken weapon will very likely make you flinch.
I don't have the exact data but it's basically something like:
If you take all the interrupt prevention perks, then the threshold of damage you can take without flinching is something like from 3 to 5 or 6 or something.
Technically, theoretically it can in some situation maybe save your life or get a decisive shot against the enemy, but for the most part it's basically useless.

Edit:
This threshold applies to all actions, I think (don't know for sure) but it all suffers from low value, too.

Oh yeah:
Just in case you plan on having a full Crossbow army to rout the enemy with that morale lowering terror perk:
I tried it. It was not very good (at least on full Bannerlord difficulty)
It's good in a mixed army, but going: My crossbowmen will make them flee before they even arrive!

Yer gonna get wrecked by any substantial force :P
In that case, take the upkeep cost perk.

very informative thank you. So it only applies for getting hit? If it gets to the point where im counting on seconds saved from being attacked im likely already dead. Here I thought threshold had something to do with the ability to move faster after starting the reloading process as opposed to having to fill up the first bar so that it doesn't cancel the action - before moving again.

I hate useless perks. I feel the need to always get a perk at least once with companions. Wish some were more useful so the decisions weren't always so one sided.

It's for damage only, sadly (unless someone did a code dive and knows better), and it's kinda crap, and yeah, bannerlord perks are a mess.

Pretty much all of them work now, but many of them are de facto useless.

Ah shame. As always maybe one day a modder will come along to better the game. I know Im waiting for the day a mod comes along that lets you play as your family and companions still. Yknow so the governor perks can actually be used by your player character while they govern somewhere until you decide to play as them again. That and to a lesser extent being able to play as companions if you are knocked out/killed in battle. Would be a hell of a way to inherit - having watched your dad just get cut down off his horse.
