How do I form Kingdom?

I have completed all the requirements for the banner quest and it says "Go into Clan screen to form kingdom" but I cannot find the ability to create one anywhere in there. Playing 1.72

Why don't you do a search 'create kingdom'?
This question gets answered every other day.

You have to follow the only story line this game has. at the end of it you will get to make your own kingdom.

You need a fief of your own, and to assign a governor to said fief. Then in person speak with your governor and select:
"It's time to take the momentous step in forming our own kingdom" <-- something along those lines anyway.

You do not need to follow the story line at all by the way OP.

I did have a governor in place and a feif, but forgot that you needed to go speak with him in-person. Thanks Psycho-Active.

I hope they give you more direction on this part before launch because I've got hundreds of hours on this game and come back to be completely baffled because I forgot this detail. I mean, who'da thunk you couldn't do it through the clan nor kingdom screens?

If you're playing story mode, you have to meet with your fief's governor and declare that you will build a new kingdom. The languages, laws and everything else is the same as the already existing states, but you have to start with the basic laws of that specific country (example - If you want to build a Battanian-based kingdom, your laws will automatically be Cantons and Lawspeakers I think)

I tried that and they all left out having to talk to a governor of one of your fiefs so here I am searching for it and at lvl 5 for my clan unable to make one lmao.

The game should direct you to this better. I have 700+ hours in the game and started 10+ playthroughs yet forgot about this after a 6 month break and was at a loss on how to proceed.

I read about 15 different walk through, and even watched two videos. ALL of which just said "Go put banner together, go talk person, clan level 4, click create kingdom, and VOILA! You're the lord of a kingdom now congrats!"

I did, Google is always my default go to as it generally yields the result I need/want. This one time it didn't and now here we are lmao.
