It's the Garrison that costs so much, and increases based on the Governors perks etc.
No you have Militia that fills up the Militia counter (Governor perks and fief buildings affect this), but it can also recruit for the "garrison" which is different, the option i mentioned turns off the garrison recruitment.
How do i know this? i train up my men fully then drop them off and train more, i noticed i kept getting random militia recruits in my garrison, that was why.
... I stand corrected.. Why is that in the Clan Parties menu rather than the Keep/City management menu... lame
Yea t'is a bit strange, admittedly i get lost and end up looking at both so i found it that way.
But yeah what AfLIcTeD said will also work afaik, i have never tried it myself.
I feel like all of that should be under Garrison management in the Town screen, OR move the Manage Garrison panel to the clans menu altogether.
I was able to salvage my save game from a few hours prior to my noticing an issue...
I lost around 300 days of game time (the great war that distracted me lol)
but still had a load of cash, plus it was just weeks prior to my garrison costs outweighing my income..
so it was a good spot to begin setting garrison wage limits and managing the auto recruitment.
I ended up using a combination of auto recruitment management and the wage limits AfLicteD mentioned.
Thanks for the Insights!
yeah they do continue to upgrade due to training etc, but quality does seem to make up for any numbers you lose. at least to a degree.
One thing I discovered that is worth mentioning, simply ticking OFF the unlimited Wage box isnt enough... each time you load a game it will revert...
you have to drag the slider bar so that the wage is below 2000. Then it will save your setting.
People also need to take a chill pill and/or get a life before coming to the forums to ♥♥♥♥♥.
At the end of the day he made a mistake, but regardless this thread may actually help people
Indeed you have a point.
But that won’t change me and I am very likely to say the same next time.
Anyway I like to have my opinion addressed, and it doesn’t matter if you agree or not.
Fair enough, tbf atleast you are honest and ain't just being a troll... in most cases people are just looking to instigate.
