I have seen ONE person post they have ai lords paying them to join, but to be honest I do not believe them.
"liege trust idk what it says i forget but it talks about distrust towards faction leader"
It's persuasion, so have some charm to ya.
An easy way to get a clan in your kingdom is to look at the minor clans and see which ones aren't being bought by a bigger kingdom. They have contracts so they eventually run out and you can cop them. You'll have to pay them tho as mercs
1) They like you.
2) Your kingdom is much stronger than theirs
3) They are homeless.....
The chance of them actually pay you or join for free... does happen.
also they won't consider committing treason and joining you if they are in an army.
1) Be more liked than their current liege
2) Be more powerful than their current faction
3) Be rich so you can bribe them
for unlanded nobles it's simpler
just be liked by them and ask them they will probably just join....
If your in Birth/death mode they will also start families that way.
easiest way is to start chopping off heads
Any mods in use? Because I haven't had this issue in any of my previous campaigns, nor my current on 1.2.9. Or any chance your kingdom is weak compared to any other kingdom?
Our kingdom was super strong, like 3+ original kingdoms. Then 3 remaining factions reduced us into dirt and i rageqiut.
I think the culture is meaningful in the formula and Empire has an advantage in recruiting for bigger pool.
What do you expect when you recruit someone that is negative 100? I never recruit anyone unless they like me a lot.
Vassal loyalty depends on the relation with the ruler, so your negative 100 doesn't mean anything. They don't like your ruler either, so they're going to bail. On some rare occasions the AI will defect to another in war time.
With how the AI loves to pillage and raid, AI clans amass lots of enemies, which usually makes recruiting them not worth it.
