Perhaps you just suck at this game, and you should mod it to make it easier.
(But I will agree that the main quest should not have a timer.)
army of 234 is small... u stand no chance again a doom stack of 1000 maybe 1400 men unless u have to create your own doom stack
your workshop gives about 300 denaries and that is trash if you want to keep an army of top tear men
your castle gives about 400 with its villages and that is also trash
should i continue... stop defending a game that it does not pays your bills... is a good game but it needs mayor balancing and proper economy. if it was not for the modding community this game is unplayable and too grinding. Seriously no actual trainer for your army why chase lotters around to upgrade troops how realistic is that
Timing story line is just retarded it feels like u have to rush the game. Sandbox is where everybody is at
Game has a lot more issues than those.
I agree about the fief gains, I saw that 400 and it was very annoying: 1500 days of total income of a castle is the cost of an armor, which is worn by dozens that are slain while taking that castle
I do not agree about the workshop gains are not bad at the moment as ~300 for each is a decent and balanced amount
I agree about the grind, it is mentioned on too many occasions to being still ignored
I agree about the main quest, it totally sucks
But I think you are biting off more than you can chew when it comes to your troops' tiers.
I got workshops, caravans, make money, my towns make money. There is perks that give passive XP daily to your units. I guess the difference come down to some players want instant gratification and everything served on a plate from start. Others want to work for it and enjouy the journey.
Imagine complaining about the game not being "realistic" because you cannot get trained and equipped troop right away while the AI of the npc lords in map and battle is garbo and exploitable from top to bottom xDDD.
300 denars a day is good. All shops in their optimal places should be generating around this. You can have up to 7 of these.
Have to agree about castles though they need something to make them worth it. ATM they are just worse towns.
If you are running around with a maxed out party of elite troops, don't expect it to be easy to pay for them. Managing your finances is part of the game. If that means cutting down your party size and quality then that is what you have to do. If you don't want to have to do this then yes you will need mods.
Not defending the game at all. I am merely pointing out that those things you are having trouble with are all quite do-able, so perhaps this game is too complex for you.

EARLY ACCESS REVIEW
it is not finished
________________________________
Seriously ?!?! It is not finished ?!?!? You don't know what Early Access means ????
And all your other reviews is one string of disasters too... reviewing the game within or around 24 hours of playing.. you don't even givea game a chance before you review it... and even here you are judging this game as if it were M&B Warband... no it's got no trainers, yes you have to develop your character to create a bigger army... workshops are not like M&B Warband thats correct, why would you think they are ?!? I don't know what you didn those 400 hours into this game, but it sure wasn't learning the mechanics of this game. It doesn't take 20 years to raise ur steward skill... why would you even consider that, there;s companions to be found that can do that for you..
Ur complaining about not being able to defeat an army 1000-1400 strong with about 234 men army... have you ever considered creating a kingdom army and have huge armies to do that ? How is it you are still not learning that after 400 hours into this game ?!?
Seriously you even gave one of the best games Bioshock a downvote, thats inexcusable... I dont know what you expect of games, but every game has a learning curve.. you seem to have serious trouble learning the mechancis of a new game...
But fgs... this is NOT M&B Warband... stop treating it as if it were... and yes.. the main quest is boll*cks right now.. its Early Access... find out what that means.
you are defending the game. is a good game with a bad game decition... why time the main story line. is obviously design this way for you to fail it and restart over and over again because time will run out. THis above all things make the game suck. period
WHY CREATE AN INTRO TO MAIN CAMPAIGN WHEN MAIN CAMPAIGN IS WHAT DESTROYS THE GAME...... seriously
game is a down vote for me cuase is early access therefor it is not finished . As it stands is a terrible product therefor i will not recommend it to no body . My review may chage once is out of early acces and maybe just maybe ithe main story is fix and not timed
the economy is broken. a trainer would be nice to level up troops for both AI and player instead of running around killing looters. As it stands the game is broken and not finished therefor not recommended for a buy.
i bought i cause i like bannerlord but bad review because as it stand i dont recommend the sell... u can buy it or not i just dont recommend it until it is finish thats all
