in the old rome-arena "gladiators" didnt fight to death... AND they fight with "unfair" equipment (weapon / armor) ... true story...

did anybody try playing the game with death on + visit all tournaments towns to kill all lords in the arena? maybe i will try this...

If you want to start with all resources without actually playing the game, why not use cheat codes instead?

I never used tournaments to "gain renown quickly". There are also other methods, why give up the whole game because just one little unimportant feature is bugged? In mid/late game tournaments are just a waste of time.

I guess you could try some mods for exporting and importing character data. That way you can change with what you want your character to start.

This wasn't updated for a long time, some comments say it still works others say it doesn't so unsure, but you could try it. I used it before, didn't use it recently.

And then there is this, didn't try it myself so not sure how it works, but seems to be a newer one doing the same thing.

If you save scum so many times to have a richer start, better to just use mods like these. There are also some mods that let you start right as a lord or with your own kingdom. Less hassle for it.

I find it quicker to try tournaments i find in cities, and just fight looters and other weak armies i find
can always make peace with lords/minor factions later anyways
I reach 50 reown in 1 hour into the save file, its not hard :P
