Rebellions.
After successfully crushing a rebellion the town must go to its previous owner. Otherwise it is just unbelieveably tedious and makes absolutely NO sense. Of course ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ derthert will take the city for himself. Rebellion is no excuse to revoke a lord's fief.

I feel your pain. Rebellions, and Loyalty in general, feel like they just do not work correctly. 3rd play through trying to get this disaster sorted out and I can only keep a town a short while until it has a revolt. ANY town at all. So, in my furthest play through, I think I have 4 or 5 towns and all of them will revolt eventually, no matter what I do. Using the right gov, not building anything, ect... the Loyalty just plummets to sub 30. I feel all I do is bounce between the towns and retake them... then you have to hope spending 100 influence will actually allow them game to give you the town back. Makes zero sense. They need an option where I can just simply uncheck revolts. I play the game for battles, not to manage towns. City Skylines would be what I would play if I wanted to manage a damn town.

the gouverneur or the clan you give a town/castle must have the same culture...

the -3 malus not having the same culture make it impossible control a city. so only attack / conquer cities u dont get a culture malus...

i dont mind revolts its okay but revolts shouldn't delete the ownership of that town, it's like police finding your stolen car and taking it for themselves

Forum and "Festivals and Games" solves this. I just use the same culture governor until the forum is built then after that it doesn't matter anymore. High loyalty increases all of the other town essentials far better than any of the other daily projects at this point. My character is Battanian but my kingdom spans from Tamnuh castle and Husn Fulq to Argoron (basically, the former Southern and Northern Empire) and I have never had an issue other than the initial corruption problem when first taking a city. Niasan has been the best Governer by far and he comes that way, no leveling needed (although this seems to be based on YOUR character selection).

I agree, rebellion shouldn't automatically revoke ownership but it should have some consequences.

I suggest that recapturing rebelled city or castle should result in an automatic "revoke fief" vote but not "assign captured fief". This way you only lose that recaptured fief if you are disliked in the kingdom.

I agree to a point. If a lord looses a fief more than once, they aren't getting it back...period. I am king of course. I haven't had a loyalty issue as I stated before, just issues with lords not wanting to maintain a garrison unless I either provide the troops or they make 1,000,000 denars a day income.

Medieval do-overs? Give me a break. Rebellions should result in the loss of the town. Period. The ruler can re-award if he/she so chooses.

Yes, but don't you mean Fairgrounds instead of Forums?

Not impossible, but you do have to work at it. Putting a governor in gets you a +1; governor of same culture gets another +1; Fairgrounds is good for a total of 1.5; and you can get additional bonus Loyalty from Festivals and Games if you are not doing any other construction.

And there are several policies the kingdom can enact to boost loyalty -- Imperial Towns, Forgiveness of Debts, Grazing Rights, and Tribune of the People are examples.

So do not tell me it is impossible just because you choose to not put forth the effort.

NO its not impossible........ its just tiresome and pointless.

Everything else is rewarding in this game -even the nerfed smiting. The first time you mess up and take on 5 different bands at once its worth pushing through to get good enough to that level.

HOWEVER: finding the same culture? REALLY when did this become CK2.. It should be food and security ONLY!

you get this weird thing happening that if you take a broken city and dont have that culture you cant figure out what to do. I have two cities one on Games and one on food production then games both with enough manpower to crush 3 invasions- both are rebelling. Something is defiantly broken.

Anything can be done by the TRY-HARDS but I prefer rewards from work- not the game skull stabbing you because it doesnt have a balance to your empire sprawl (total war anyone?). The fact is simple- wish I could go back to like the 5th version of the game without my current one breaking - I would have beat the game instead of conquoring 1/3rd of it and putting it down. That way I would feel satisfied and go back to warband.
