How to force peace?
My game currently has a bug where the tribute in war is reversed, the kingdom I am part of (Aserai) are winning the war against the Western Empire, but in the diplomacy menu it shows that if peace was declared we would be paying tribute to them. I even tested this, I captured a castle and the tribute increased by 500 per day. Obviously my kingdom is not going to agree to pay tribute when we are winning the war, but I need them to make peace so we can focus on other enemies. Is there a way in the console to force peace between two nations, or some way to set the tribute to an amount that my kingdom will agree to?

The AI knows you're fighting two other enemies. They won't accept peace, until they've recovered some lands taken by you, or, they don't have enough lords left to wreck havoc on your unprotected villagers AKA income. I've seen the AI offer peace after taking back some lands so I know that is true. And I've also witness the AI sue for peace after losing most of its clans through mass execution by me.

Just my experience.

That is working as designed by TW. Winner of wars has to pay for tribute for peace. TWs code weighs useless things much more than important things.

Here is my thread/bug report from last year. In it is TWs response that it is working as intended.

this... im fighting 5 people right now.. Our power in 22k, the other 5 combined have a power of 9k. 2 of them have power of 500 or so.. and no fiefs.. I'd need to pay everyone a minimum of 2500 up to 6k per day.. just for peace

And I'm crushing them. it's annoying the way they have tribute set up. it is not working as people want IMO

edit: I'm fairly certain the TW reply in that thread, is from someone who doesn't play. He said "I've been informed" was our first clue. The second is that it has nothing to do with the other guy having a little "Less" power and gonna take back the fief. No one in those 2 factions (sturgia, and valandia) can take back anything from me. They are 1 clan running around, doing nothing. They don't have enough to even raid really, since a sole vassal of mine, can clear them out nonstop. They can't ever take anything.

So the "well its by design, because the AI will want that territory back".. so what? They won't get it. their party of 40 dudes,, all mid level. won't damage my kingdoms SMALLEST party of 90 guys.. let alone our 5 army's running around with between 700-1500 people each.

All the fiefs near our "40 dude" have at least 100 militia, let alone another 50+ garrison (and most fiefs have way way more than that).

all in all, this is a mistake IMO. it needs fixed. All it does is make the end game grind, even more of a grind.

Ok, so how do I force peace outside of normal game mechanics?

If you leave those 40men dudes unchecked, they'll kill all your villagers and reduce your hearth. They do massive economical damage and they run real fast. At a certain point they'll stop raiding villages and just aim for those travelling to town. Each village party that gets destroyed reduces your hearth.

They are doing damage to you, its just that you don't feel it because its not directly translated into losses for you. But you might wonder why the heck is your village income forever +80 denars and hearth stuck at 120 even when its not raided.
