Start faction in a Kindom

Hi !
I'm part of the northern faction in a sandbox game.
In the Kindom menu is a Button (or tab) to start a faction.
Also the AI sometimes start a new faction and it is listet there.
From the description, the faction need enough support and then a civil war should start.
Did somebody test this and can give some description how to do it ?
I did not find any tutorial for this.
Most "start faction" searches point to the mainstory with the dragon banner and how to start a new kindom and not how to use this feature.

faction = kingdom
i dont understand what you talking about... in sandbox is no civil war... only war...

edit: u seems to be very confused between storygame and sandbox

edit 2: all nobles/lords are part of a CLAN and a clan can be a new kingdom/faction if he is strong enough like clan-lvl 4+ and some other things...

Look on the Kindom Menu you have:
Clans / Fiefs / Factions / and more
Click on factions and this are not other Kingdoms.

You are using Diplomacy mod aren't you? Or...maybe Separatism?

It has to be a mod because unmodified has only Clans, Fiefs, Policies, Armies and Diplomacy. There is no Faction tab.

I get so tired of nimrods coming here and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ because their ♥♥♥♥ doesn't work, and then finding out they are running mods, which they conveniently neglected to mention.

OP -- You have a mod problem, not a game problem. Contact the people who made the mod.

He came and asked if anyone understood what was going on, that doesn't make him a nimrod. Just because you are on some weird anti-mod crusade doesn't mean people shouldn't come here to ask about frequently used mods. Maybe he had no idea this was coming from the mod? Or maybe he knows it is used by many thousands of people here on steam and wanted some help with it. You are not the arbiter of what people get to ask about on here Clovis.

y-man, the factions thing, can't remember if it si from diplomacy or separatism, basically allows sub-factions to form within a faction, starting a civil war if enough of the clans join the clan which started it. They can either have the goal of secession, creating a new kingdom if they win the war, or abdication, forcing the king/queen to abdicate if they win.

I don't have a problem with the asking, but I do have a problem with folks complaining about something and not mentioning they've modded the game to hell and gone. It is a lot easier for use to help diagnose their problem if we have that information.

Likewise, it would be nice if people mention whether they are on beta or main line, and coould they please throw in the version. It's not hard. Just add a line -- "I am playing beta 1.6.2 with a buttload of mods, and I get crashes after last update. Please help me."

THIS! SO many postings are just crap without any useful information...

How can you expect to get help from your Bannerlord community when you are not able to provide the minimum required information - like "mod/version/system"?

At first, thanks for the many answers.
I did not have a problem, I wanted to know how it works.
And I'm sorry I did not know this is from a mod and not vanilla, so sorry for this.
Yes, it is diplomacy and now I know that it is from there.
So of course I triy to read the description there again.
And I did never complained anything here. There was a missunderstanding, but also helpful answers, so again thanks.
