Send him into battle without weapon and armor. But face the consequences. If he's dead and your character dies without an heir, that means: Game over.
If you play immortal, then I think there's no way to get rid of him.

I am playing immortal so there is no way of him going away? I'm just gonna have to pay 44 per day?

They charge you for your own brother, that's sad, they are miser dev's every mod that put family in made them free units...

back in the original M&B there was a mod called The Wedding Dance it's where they get this idea of marriage and siblings, they were free the family members in that, they steal peoples free community ideas then miser it all out.

Here is the link to that old mod for M&B just so you know i ain't lying.

Was a cool mod i always thought this was one of the better M&B mods of the time.

I don't know of any way, to get rid of him. But, 44 a day is not that much, later. Kill some looters and sell their stuff. That should cover the expenses.

I can cover the costs but 44 a day eventually adds up and that kinda blows.

Yes, it's much and I read somewhere, that this is not intended, that the family has gold costs on them. I think, this will be patched.

you can drop them off at the tavern. Let me go in game and see where the button is located.
Edit: You need to click the plus icon in the upper right corner in a city

Are the costs gone, if he stays in a city? That would be cool for early game (or for saving his life, while the main char is battling)

Yes, the wage go down if you drop him or your companion off

Doesn't dropping him off in a city get rid of that wage? On my game, he never costed anything because he was in a city the entire time.

You can get the mod "Marry clan members" marry him to a family, get rep, gold, never pay him again and still have an ally in another clan.
