No weapon hit-detection?
I've noticed that where the weapon hits someone doesn't matter. This makes two-handed polearms very OP, since they have no downsides, except for maybe their speed, since you can shaft someone and deal max damage.

I have noticed that if a weapon swings too fast that i feel there is no detection because it doesnt seem to hit anything. I think there was a mod for warband that fixed that, so you could have like 9999 attack speed but it still connects your hits.
i dont know what makes that happen, is it bound to your FPS?

I've had it happen several times, but only when I've timed :"the perfect swing" while riding. It shouldn't be framelocked and it did happen in Warband and Warband mods as well.

I haven't seen this, though IIRC some two-handed weapons like axe-types have some additional "cleave" mechanics that may be coming into play.

What specific weapons in what circumstances are you referring to?

I've seen swords deal blunt damage when hitting someone with the hilt (during a normal strike, not dedicated pummeling-attacks). I think with axes too, but I don't use axes much. So I think the functionality for it is in, perhaps just not enabled for polearms.

That, and it's probably good to have the choppy bit's hitbox be larger. Realistically you could just grip is further front, can't do that in-game.
Yeah this is a problem in multiplayer as well. There needs to be a minimum usable range for pole arms. If struck while within that range either very low (2-6hp) blunt damage or no damage and a stun animation like when someone trying to throw a jav gets bumped by someone with a melee weapon.

Specifically the mendavalion (imperial polearm-spear hybrid). You can connect with a swing anywhere on the entire length of the weapon and it'll deal significant damage.
