Has anyone seen Vlandian Coat of Plates over Mail?

I'm just wondering, because I had to steal my helmet from my wife as the best I could find was a 42 armour greathelm, and the best armour I've found in a shop is the mail and tabard stuff, which is 34 body armour, so quite poor tbh. The coat of plates Vanguard and Knights wear is 46 but have no once seen it in a shop.

have you tried looking in cities that have an iron smithy? Its also been suggested that available items is also influenced by clan tier.

I thought the same (regarding smithing) so made one in Rovalt, whom have access to Iron ore, and no change in whats offered has been noticed.
If its true about clan tier, that would be interesting... I'm 4 at the moment.

I am starting to think it may not be clan tier and might be prosperity of a town. I am clan tier 5, I own Poros and Vostrum. There is a smithy in Vostrum but no higher level armor. Both areas are raided by the Khuzaits every time I leave the area which keeps the prosperity around 5000 or less.

If I go to other towns with a high prosperity, 6000 - 8000, I see those armors even in towns without a smithy. I dunno.
