Marriage between factions
Is there any benefit or reason to marry outside your faction?

Between whole factions? Your spouse would probably just join your faction, I've never heard of someone trying that before tho

Yes, there is. Since you have to pay the dowry and this raises your rep really high with that clan, if they are of another faction then it is easier to convince them to betray their liege later. I've grabbed my in-laws.

Then you ensure they get gifted with land later, proving you are truly the best son-in-law.

Nah. Her mother's just being a huge prick this time around. and our factions have been at war the most.
