After getting married it's RNG based and you'll have a chance to get a baby i want to say every month or so.

Hm... I've had my wife in my party a lot, and also tried putting her in a city as governor and waiting there several weeks. No child... thanks for your answers though.

How old is she? I believe there is a maximum age at which she can conceive.

I've tried twice, first with someone about 24, second time starting at 18. None worked.

There have been sporadic reports on how easy it is to have a child across different patches. I'm not sure what changes they've made, there, but fertility certainly seems to have changed from "Day 1" when spouses pumped out kids like a PEZ dispenser.

Basically - Take them with your party until they're pregnant. Maybe spend some time in a Town, here and there, for an overnight stay to see if that helps.

There doesn't seem to be any consistently sure way to "make with teh babies already" in Bannerlord other than being of "fertile" age. The cut-off there is somewhere around 45+ or so? Can't remember atm.

I do not know if any hidden traits or trait issues exist, there, that could effect fertility. AFAIK, once you make it past the whole temporarily-horked "Marriage" thing, that should be it and you should be on your way to making babies and heirs. * "Should"

I tried again just to make sure, and it does not work for me.

Yeah I hope it works eventually. My first character went a few years and never got a child, and my current character has been married for six year without any kids.. despite taking the spouse along and waiting a lot i settlements.

Mods?

Don't discount the unexpected issues that could arise with using mods that are seemingly not related to an experienced problem. Just sayin'... :)

In a Day 1 game, I have somewhere around four kids, I think. I never experienced the rampant fertility that others did, but did try to do my husbandly duty whenever I could... Some players had dozens, but they also kept their spouses in the party as basically "combat companions." Some had spouses that would apparently get pregnant without any husbandly attentions.

Traits are supposed to be a component of the whole "Marriage" thing. As it is right now, a player just has to pick the right answers matching the prospects traits in order to "succeed." But, what if the mechanic is pervasive and, since the whole "Marriage" mechanic will undergo a rework to provide a "ceremony" and all that, nothing was changed from the original design?

If so, that might mean that if your character's current "Traits" don't match up very well with your spouse's, your fertility may not be as high as it should be.

It's worth checking, at least. As far as I'm concerned, TW is too tight-lipped about the game's mechanics for an EA developer... We need MORE INFOS, not just "teasers" and generic statements with "hints" like they're supposed to be some kind of secret...

"Don't tell the EA players how the game works!"

"But, this code is five years-old and the people who wrote it were interns and are now working for telecoms - WE don't know how the game works!"

"Don't tell the EA players how the game works!"

"I... are you listening to me?"

"Don't tell the EA players how the game works!"

No mods. Thanks for the answer though.
You need to spend some time with your partner, either in the same party or at the same settlement.

I dont use mods and play the newest beta version.

I have the same issue in 1.5.1 with my male lords. I have two characters who both been unable to get an heir.- One of them has been married for almost six years and spending time with the partner all the time.
