Is there a better way to move the camera around the map?
I know I can do it by holding the left mouse button and moving the mouse around, but this is kind of awkward. It would be great if I could use WASD to move the view of the map around, but it doesn't look like there is even an option to set this. Anyone know if I am missing something or if there is some way to set this?

I did and the complete keyboard options for the campaign map aren't even there...but then the WASD was working. I thought it was before, but wasn't sure. I don't know why it would sometimes work and sometimes not. My keyboard was low on batteries...maybe that was it? IDK

I dont remembwe but there should be a movement speed free camera unless you can change controls...im not sure is exactly what you need

What the heck?! Now the WDSE isn't moving the camera around the map again! Anyone have any idea why?! Is there some key I'm supposed to push or option I may accidentally be toggling? This is so annoying.

I see this is an old thread but was there ever a solution? I'm having this problem now and can't figure it out.

I haven't played this game in a while. Mostly because "newer" battle-field command system is so fvKCing bad. I've moved on to other things. Mostly Kenshi these days. Sorry I have no answer, but didn't want to blow you off. Good luck. Please share if you figure it out.

I know it's a bit late and you probably solved this problem but maybe it will be useful for other people. If you can't move the camera around the map with wasd or your character, you may have accidentally pressed a hotkey.
Try one of these:
Fn + W (worked for me)
Fn + Up Arrow
Fn + Esc
Fn + Windows.
