"Fight back against the conspiracy" timeout crashes game
My most successful character to date has been rendered unplayable by a bug where the game crashes as soon as the "fight back against the conspiracy" quest times out. I sided with istinia so this is arzagos's conspiracy.
I've tried using the RGL console but it doesnt seem to have access to the campaign.complete_active_quest command and the community patch causes my game to crash on startup. I don't see anyone else having a problem like this anywhere so I cant find any relevant advice. I now have cheats enabled on my file but that hasnt changed anything. Also safe mode doesn't affect it.

Also verifying the game files did nothing

Upon crash the game gives a generic "*_* this application has faced problems" message

The Fight back against the conspiracy quest was not complited by the devs from what I under stand so you can't do much about it.

I've had issues in the previous versions where timing out on the main quest (I didn't bother following any bit of it) caused the game to crash.

That was when I was on the main branch, so I switched over to the beta branch and I was able to get past the timeout event without crashing.

I don't know which version you are on, but perhaps it might be worth trying to switch over to another branch and see if you can get past that time out point.

That's what Im worried about, I'm hoping a dev might see this or there's some sort of mod I can download to fix this.

Just tried the beta branch of 1.5.3 and didnt work so I'm trying 1.5, will post updates and thanks for suggestion

Edit: crashed on save loading screen

Does cancelling quest with dev console help?

is there another console other than the RGL one via alt + ~

Main quest line still causing issues? I am surprised it hasn't been blocked off at an earlier or later point in the the chain yet. Just a message saying the quest chain is unfinished and canceling it at a safe point would be good enough for now.

how do I cancel it?
my console doesnt recognize campaign.cancel_active_quest
is there another way to cancel it or get access to that command?
