I played once for vlandia and i felt dirty, it was on that level of easy.
Edit: there is also another point to consider, if you ever actually play table games to improve relations with nobles then Vlandia has the crappiest and hardest one to win called MuTorere (it is not per se hard it just needs someone to make a mistake to win and can go on forever), while the imperials have a quite cool and easy game called Tablut (very easy as defender).
Vlandia is another really good faction, especially if you want a good cavalry faction, but southern empire has access to elite cavalry too (with even better armor and lance). Sturgia has been really weak, and not that great of a faction. I never have to worry about them because they are extremely weak. If you play as them, they seem to be in a never ending war even during bad times they are constantly declaring war, i haven't played sturgia in a long time (especially after only holding 1/4 of the original land, and the dumbass king declaring war against multiple extremely powerful nations). I wifed the sturgian king's daughter, killed her father, and vowed to reclaim the land once i became strong enough before the save became broken from a patch.
