Random Loss of Relations with villages
I don't understand what happened I've been having solid relations with most notables the highest being among 20-24 and some just staying at 0.
I never raided and motly just helped out with deserters and such.

Randomly now while I am recruiting units I notice some don't let me recruit at all.
From this I go check and theres A LOT of notables that have -2 relations with me, randomly.
And when I say a lot its over 20 or so notables scattered about that just lost relation with me for no apparent reason.

Anyone might know the reason behind this loss of relation?

You may have started with traits like +Valor and +Mercy. Notables who have traits opposite of yours have a relation penalty (not sure if you get a bonus with anyway. Probably not.). Also not sure if gaining a trait in the future will give the penalty too.

I didn't start out like that but maybe, since I fought some lords and released them I could have gained the honorable trait and opposing notables might have gotten mad that could be it.

You are abolutely right by releasing nobles I got Honor+1 trait and I went to check and most of these notables have honor -1 so that could be very much it.

If I'm not mistaken, companions with their own parties can raid villages and complete/fail quests, both of which affect relations with notables on your behalf

Nah I pay attention to all the pop ups with + or - and the actions of my companiosn (only had 1)
I'm certain it was the honor thing, I gained the honest trait and when I went to check all notables with -2 relations had -1 honor

On my screen after doing something positive in the villages it says 'relations increased with etc' but the numbers are at a minus reflection? Makes no sense.

Check the current list of policies enacted in the Kingdom. Some have "negative relation" penalties with Nobles/Villages, IIRC.

I'm not a noble.

Ahhh.. Sorry.

So, in what capacity are you operating? Still not a member of any of the main factions? Not operating as a Mercenary for one of them?

For some reason, I seem to recall some mention of reputation going down with nobles as just a part of the game. IOW - Some "maintenance" of that is expected to be done by the player.

As a Noble, this isn't an issue with one's own holdings if the appropriate policies are in place. And, since there are many of them that can affect positive gains, it's generally no longer a concern.

Maybe it does decrease over time and you just can't take advantage of the same mechanics a Lord can?

As I said it was msot likely that I got the honor 1 and all these otables had honor -1 it makes sense.
