Extremely bugged blacksmithing progression
I reached the 130 learning limit with my smithing companion, suddenly crafted this two handed sword and i got a 9 point progression from just this one sword. After i crafted a second one i got 5 more. I dont understand, since the sword is below skill level by 9 points. before i reached the limit i barely got 1 point from 200+ requirement swords, even less from smelting and i didnt even think it was possible to advance beyond learning limit. or the very least not this easily and by this much. sure, i hate leveling blacksmithing, since its a chore, but wth. heres an image about he incident:

Yea, the difference in skill gain and gold worth between the low and high tier components are way too high. You basically make nothing for a while until you unlock something good and then you get a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of skill and money.

We know. The game is bugged. Thank you for your report.

It's based on the damage the weapon can do. It's honestly probably not even an issue with smithing as it is with the developers trying to screw the players by making powerful weapons prohibitively expensive

nothing seems prohibitively expensive after you unlock stuff like this.its more like its breaking the game, feels like an exploit, even if intended. i made 30-40k while trading for quite some time and now i can make 53700 just with some basic crafting, with inexpensive components. one handers on the other hand dont make near as much money for some reason.

Police yourself

Its a single player game, this is OBVIOUSLY not balanced. So don't do it.

As I said, 1 handers don't make as much money because they don't deal as much damage

As for the "learning limit" that is just a softcap, you can still keep going on a skill after learning limit, though yes it will slow down by a huge amount, first when the skill number turns red, that you hit the hard cap and can't go any further without either adding more focus points to the skill a atribute point to the associated attribute

Your smithing isn't bugged, it's just grossly OP at the moment. Skill gain and part unlocks are tied to the value of a crafted weapon, and this value is tied to the damage that weapon does. Certain tier 2-4 two handed sword components can easily push a sword to a sell price of 50k or more. Crafting a dozen of these swords can get you to 200+ smithing in the first week of the game, not to mention that you will no longer need to worry about gold. If you want the game to remain a challenge, ignore smithing until it gets an overhaul.

FFs, I get that it is broken, but for the love of God will people stop whinging about ways to make money in Bannerlord?

I get it, you'd rather it was made fairly, but TW have been nerfing nearly every way of making money in SP since day one.

If it bothers you, police yourself. DON'T make those uber expensive weapons to sell. Use them yourself, etc.

It just bugs me that so far TW seem to have spent more time nerfing sp money making than anything else.

Even with the current 1.4.2 using a small trader squad with no trade mods
about 20 villagers for looter protection and early capacity

You can easily find 1 or 2 trade goods that make a profit
start buying horses so that your 20 villages can now carry 10k weight and move at over 6 speed
and have 20-30k within about 2-3 weeks in game time.

alternatively in the early game, you can go looter hunting, thats fairly profitable for a little while

Not even the worst. With a few steel bars and a log you can craft a rhomphaia that sells for upwards of 100k.

The smithed weapons seem to have a maximum value, on my character it was around 105,000? You can literally make a harpoon tipped javelin from one iron and one hardwood, or a tier 5 thamaskene two handed sword, and they are both worth the maximum value.
