How are you supposed to open the dev console?

If one is to believe the notes for the latest version it's now accessible by default in the latest game version.

However the alleged key combination to open the console plain doesn't work. I tried everything, Alt+~ (which is the thing stated in the notes), Ctrl+~ (which was the combination for the now no longer updates mod), Ctrl+Shift+~ (which some people online suggest), Alt+Shift+~ (worth a try), and doing the same thing with numerous alternate keyboard layouts. Nothing works. The normal Ctrl+something cheats unlocked by editing engine_config.txt do work without a hitch, but the console plain refuses to open.

Can somebody please help me out? Because the grind for some skills is mind-numbing...

It's alt + §, the key over tab

I had cheat mode activated, it was the opt into experimental branch I think which I just did so going to go test it. Thank you for the fast reply!

You need to be in 1.4.2 beta branch and then press ALT and ^ or whatever key is above your TAB key (I have german keyboard layout)
