caravan don't work anymore

hey i wanted to make a fresh start but in my current game i paid a caravan but
1: i don't loose money from it
2: i don't make money from it

my caravan is moving around and when i check my money i don't have "-300 wage for caravan etc" any ideas ?

None. Mine are the same... My only guess is that they're breaking even.

Maybe they changed it so it's impossible for a caravan to lose money, like workshops

well yeah ithink it's that about 3 week after i got +200 income from that caravan

Did they alter the wages cost of caravan troops to be more expensive? I thought I saw a few posts about that earlier.

I have not used one in awhile since I tend to go merc pretty quickly now.

Yeah they changed it, there's no longer an upkeep cost but there's also no longer a daily income either, as far as I can tell you only get money when your caravan actually makes trades. but to be honest I haven't actually followed one around to be sure.

every now and then I'll get anywhere from like 50-300.

They seemed to have nerfed workshops and arena betting a bit as well.

Workshops are always better to start with, no risk of them being raided (unless the city is taken by another faction). I'd look into buying a workshop in a main city first before caravans.

How early into the game are you?

I remember when I was still a T1 clan, I had chosen to marry Liena, which essentially gave me an extra party on the field despite my party cap being 1. My income screen did not display Liena's troops' wages or income and only my own troops' wages. Upon reaching clan tier 2 and having access to a second party, it magically updated to include her party's troops' wages. This might be the case with the caravans too?

I only got main party wages listed and for my wife. I got edit:3 caravans and none have showed any wages ever in 1.4.2. Do they show for you?

It looks like they have merged caravan/parties income and wages. I've noticed that if my parties have a positive income then it won't display their wages. Could be the same for caravans. If your caravans have no income or wages then it could be a bug. Check your clan tab for more details on them.

Clan tab never displayed wages so checking there doesn't help much. It nver shows minus for my caravans either.

Haven't actually built a caravan on 1.4.2. I'll give it a try the next time I play.
