how to change key bindings?

this is a first one for me, feel embarassing for such a noob question.

how does one change key bindings in the settings? no matter what i click, i can only replace any function by "left click"

all i want is to change sheathing button ...

Try to reinstall that game and don't use any beta patches. ;)

nah fk it, it took me an hour to launch the game and it riddled with bugs right away for 50$.

Dunno what causes your game to act like that.

Okay, no beta patch.
1.4.0 seems to work fine for me, but so did 1.3.1 - just give it a try.

Also: if you use mods, give it a try without.

Yes, fixing a game with mods isn't the best way always, but for some it's the only way.

Also broken keybindings ... I have no issues setting up different keys in Options -> Mouse and Keyboard.
Does Bannerlord have proper access rights to changes files? If not, this may explain why your copy doesn't work properly.

There is a bug with keybindings in battle. Change the bindings outside of battle, while in a settlement (but not running around in one, just waiting there on the map).

At least we tried. And Bannerlord is still developed by a small indy developer.

dudes... just leave the training grounds to the overall map by holding tab and once there changing keybinds works just fine!

I just stood into this problem too, but luckily I found a solution before it drove me n*ts...

- Simply open through singleplayer instead and change your bindings there. Somehow it worked
for me. Its pretty odd, and i hope they will fix it

This worked for me too!! Had a lot of frustration when I mapped a whole bunch of keys to left mouse button, but had no issue fixing it in singleplayer

well, my issue arose when i started the campaign and got to the first village

An easy way to get around this bug is to click a second time on the keybind you'd like to change for it to actually work. You bind your action to "left mouse button" then click it again and the actual binding screen displays (because it has already been bound to left click, so it's indeed unintended).
Hopefully it's been solved after 1.4.1.
