recall that Armor WEIGHT is also considered a "Best Armor" factor.
Northern Lamellar Armor for example only weighs 1.5 while Southern Lamellar Armor weighs 8.9. both provide equal armor protection.
So, how much prosperity for the good stuff?
I was trying to always kit northern and finally I just said screw it because the empire armor just routinely seemed to be better on the body. Some of the northern stuff is fine elsewhere.
Guess I have not got far enough in.
I know when you go to manage a town, if it has a smithy, you can see the armor and weapon tiers it is capable of manufacturing. I assume if you want you can close down, say, tanner, and change to a smith, and get better armor from that town that way, and the expense I guess of whatever cool stuff tanners make.
And why would you ever close down a brewer. BAHAHAHAHA!
Not true anymore, towns can now produce top tier armor in the beginning too.
