Best jav infantry?

I absolutely love them, my usual frontline consists of a ton of those and battles are over extremely quickly.

Just wondering, who has the best frontline jav skirmishers? .. Batanian veteran skirmishers are my usual pick.

They're not skirmishers specifcally, but I love watching my Legionaries throw a volley of javelins before charging the enemy

Sturgian Veteran Warriors. They can actually fight even after they've used their javelins. Make for a great shieldwall too.

Battanian Wildlings are excellent heavy skirmishers, and can adequately function as a front line troops if necessary. They would be the top pick for skirmishers among the major factions, and have an AI that allows skirmish mode. Outside of that, there are a couple in the minor factions with higher throwing skill - puppeteers and lake rat wreckers that have higher throwing skill. Not sure on their AI.

legionaries throw what are I assume supposed to be pillums but in game they look like javelins either way they aren't skirmishers per say but they are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ great units.

everyone here talking about their legionaries having javelins, when none of my empire troops ever spawnm with javelins once past T3. 4/5 are sword+shield+spear
