Maybe they will bring another interface for that later on.
But I don't care about sieging cities from other factions because I want the culture and people to be Battanian so I need to own one of the starter cities of the Battanians
Eventually, other lords wanted me to take responsibility for a mismanaged castle on the border with a rival.
Later on, through influence and schmoozing other faction lords, I would be granted ownership of a major city.
I also married a Battanian princess and would support my father in-law.
But my castle and my city isn't Battanian.
Influence, is as the word we know it means, Influence.
It isn't just a currency the more base amount you have stockpiled the more literal Influence you have with other lords in your kingdom, much more so then relationships.
If you have the most influence, don't have any land and then propose the vote. It's not possible for you to not be on that page with majority support.
Or get an army big enough and don't help the war effort, when I do this, my faction usually loses a town; you can recapture that lost town.
