2. Vlandia- I don't like Derthert... But it's medieval Western Europe complete with knights, dismounted heavy infantry, and crossbowmen.
3. Battania- Celtic faction with footman and probably the best archers ingame. Their the Robin hoods of calradia
4. sturgia- haven't played them yet, but I like their helms..
5. Aserai- leader is Sala-adin... Really want to play as a desert boi eventually... I feel their troop game is a lil weak though.
6. Khuzait- ♥♥♥♥ horse archers...
2. Khuzait - Were my first faction to play since horse archery in Bannerlord is actually fun this time. But the game was too easy even on realistic spamming 200 horse archers and I grew bored of riding in a circle. Their aesthetic is top notch too.
99. Battania - Dirty subhumans all from the same family tree. Pretty much just hill men. Their dialog should really just be a series of grunts.
i would say battania and sturgia and empire but with bow :)
your infantry need shield, and bow are better....the javelin work well if you have a bit patience and dont use charge :p
crossbow really sux in rof....just try to defend with 500 crossbow against 500archer attacking in siege, crossbow always loose...and lance are uneffective in game...so cavalry melee dont exploit their strenght.
most important thing is if you use 2h infantry is to create a separate group in your parties... separate from other shield infantry, because without shield they are dead meat agaisnt archer and you will loose them,
but if you keep them in reserve and wait for infantry, they will dig massive hole in ennemy flank.
a big problem for me is i want to play a certain army, i hate to have to cross all the map to go back in my land for have the army i wanted, there should be a way to convert troops in settlement to your own faction by training...
2. Khuzait- Because asian
3. sturgia- because vinland saga thorkell
4. empire- lower cuz more byzentine less roman...still like em thou
5. Battania- eh elf wanna be forest hobos ... not my cup of tea...and i really do not like elf
edit : 6= valandian- I actually forget about them lol, they are not that interesting without their buttergod Harlaus and count clais
Using leggionary for the frontline, mix of Banner knight/Cataphract, mounted empire archers for flanking and ofc, the vladian sharpshooter to fight at distance.
I think this is a pretty good mix but i agree mostly with you.
1 Vladian.
2 Empire
3 Aserai
Awesome shoulder armour with their various pelts and furs, and a tartan aesthetic that I adore. Javelin skirmishing and forest combat, along with the best damn Hardwood in Calradia. That and their nobles make for the mightiest husbandos, with Muinser having 250 in every vigour stat+athletics as well as potentially coming with the Rhompflstomp polearm for oneshotting every horse in the game.
STURGIA for all the fishing towns and ensuing sturgeon puns.
Second favorite would be the sturgians, but they are based on the Kievan Rus not vikings
You do realize that Samurai were first and foremost mounted archers that only fought in melee once they got off the horse - either voluntarily or not?
