unable to find trading and steward companions
The title pretty much says it all.. I am unable to find any steward and trading companion.

I looked through to the encyclopedia and all I got are warriors, healers engineers etc.. no traders and stewards.

Any idea whether its a bug? or do their stats change after a while?

P.S: i am playing on the 1.3v of the game

Its totally random what heroes generate. I am not sure if new ones show up as you play, I haven't noticed that. I went through almost 10 starts without seeing any Spicevendor types.

New ones seem to be generated during the course of the game, or so it looks in mine.
The way you're getting wonderers right now is "random" (you can find the formula online if you want to) and their number is also limited. There's a mod that spawns every available wanderer (including the ones you add through mods).

I think the generation of wanderers may be random (Three repies post while i am posting. Apparently they are indeed random). One game I was piddling with had several with tactics. This current one I have has only one.

There are chores that require charm, and I am not sure how to train charm on an NPC. None that I have found so far have charm. It may be something they develop on their own if you create a party, but separate parties are kind of buggy right now. Or at least they have been for me.

Just minutes ago finished installing the developer console to see if I can't just hack my way around these things until the game is in better condition.

The wanderers in your games are randomly generated but more spawn in over time as you visit the taverns and don't recruit the ones that are there. What I've found is best way to find my 3 companions, 1 spice vendor for steward, 1 wainwright for engineering and 1 of the many choices for healing is i just go from city to city at the start of the game ignoring what the encyclopdeia says because by the time ive checked the cities i start near on the way to batannia then down and out the other side of desert ive found them all + leveled my 60 man recruit army to t3, also if extra lucky met 10 lords but even if not will have at least 6

The only companion with charm ( lvl 80 more exactly ) is " [Name] the Bitterdraught" and he can pretty much be used for the related quests. I've been using him as a surgeon since he also has 60 in medicine and for completing charm quests (which require around 20 I think). Right now there's no way to train their charm from what I've been seeing.
