1.3 Beta removes ability to paste your own banners into to the game.
Why?

And well if you can't be responsible with the toys you are handed, they will be taken away.
These banners only effect the single player, if you think they can't make jihadi banners or some Warhammer death to the xenos thing its you whose right tp speak should be taken away.

I had not figured this out yet. I did look around quickly but didnt see the textures.

Would have been nice to know how to do this.

It would have been nice to have known in advance that they removed it... was it in the patch notes? I read the whole thing but don't remember anything about the banner pasting removal... Now I have to re-dl the old version. Ah well, boo hoo I guess. Hope they ♥♥♥♥♥♥ it.

It is a beta-branch - sometimes follow-up errors occur. I guess this will be fixed soon.

Mods are not supported, so dont ever expect patch notes(or fixes) related to mods.

I assume, that this was not about mods, it was about the custom banners, which you could create on their website

Here is the link:

You can find a reddit-site, where you can find many awesome examples.

But as the OP said: This doesn't work in 1.3 right now, but it did work in 1.2.

Teralitha you're an absolute idiot if you think they're somehow not thinking of mods, Warband stayed relevant after getting popular because of mods, and the developers have acknowledged that to the point where they'll make a huge part of the creation/designing tools open to the public for modding. YES, they do not update mods or don't care if a patch breaks them, but you can't just say that "MoDS aReE NoT SUpPoRteD" because they absolutely are. Anyways, they'll most likely add it again later on, or they're working on a more comprehensive custom banner mechanic than just CTRL + C - CTRL + V.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

yeah, wtf. How did they break this ? Look, remove the banner system and allow us to use a PNG image, much better than loading a bunch of shapes. I mean mine has over 160 shapes to make my complicated banner.

He didn't know you could do that. There's no indication in the game, that you could even do that. Everyone else understood this and explained to the man. But you had to come in with your smartass and insult the man for no reason. Educate before you try to humiliate. We don't need your kind of people around here mate.

Would be nice if they just added it to the game.

I once worked in a company, which developed a software and before every major release, every button; every static value and every functionality had to be tested, again. Thus, there were checklists which were thousands of pages long - and the staff had to lay of normal work for a week to go through these checklists; test everything out; and put a signature behind every point on this checklist

I am kind of glad, that Taleworld doesn't do it, it would be a waste of time at these stages; but this also means, that we might get new unintentional bugs every new patch.

If it's taken away maybe think from the devs perspective of why it was taken away then? The world doesn't revolve around you you know
