Where Is The Option To Buy Fiefs?
Was this removed in an update and I didn't realized it?

Nobles who had fiefs used to have them as an option for purchase. There's even a video online about some exploit where the guy was buying them all for free. I would have expected that part to have been fixed, not removed.

Right now, I've opened trade with a lot of lords(all of these who had castles and\or towns) and not a single one of them had any of said lands available for trade.

Also : I only asked lords from the same realm I'm part of. I have around 700k gold, 1k influence.

So could it be a question of needing a high relationship with said lords? Or a bug? Or a removed feature entirely?(if it is then there shouldn't be the option for "fiefs" in the trading section).

You have to unlock the perk around 200 trading.

I think there is trade-perk, that allows trading fiefs, might be tied to that, not sure. (edit:^)

But you can use influence to get new owner vote on fief, in the Kingdoms menu.

Its a Trade skill perk on level 200 (or 225, I don't remember) which you need to unlock first in order to buy fiefs.

Apart from owning caravans(which will cost me my companions) I have no idea how to evolve my trading skill. I'm quite rich, I have 4 businesses that are doing quite well(at least two of them are, the other are okay). Yet my trading skill is literally "1"(don't even know how I got that 1).

So, is my only option to send my companions on caravans and the skill will simply evolve passively?

As for influence, I did got one town through that. But the system is overral just messed up. I lost a lot of influence to get another town, and when the option appeared to select a lord, I wasn't even part of the options. So it makes zero sense.

Owning caravans don't give trade xp, pretty sure of it. but I did see dev mention it migth give it to caravan leader companions in the future,

You buy trade goods (furs, cheese, hardwood, etc) cheap from towns, and sell them high in other towns.

You get indications (might be tied to trade level, if you get these or not) like green or red color on the price, if it is cheap or expensive here, and on tooltip, prices you know in other places, more faded out, means older info.

But bottom line, sell high, buy low, goods, not weapons and armors and such.

Thanks for the info. I believe it says in the game that "operating caravans" improves trading, so maybe that's outdated info and they changed it?

Here is the devs post about it:
https://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php?threads/vote-included-new-update-and-the-caravan-remains-30-and-it-was-claimed-it-get-supported.416572/page-5#post-9388987

"By the way I am not sure player would gain trade xp because of having caravan however companion probably would. I am not only one deciding these things will check later."/quote end

Things might change in future, but right now, I don't think caravans give trade at all.

You get trade XP from making profits off of trade goods, buy low sell high, the more money you make from trade goods the more XP you get. You don't get any XP from caravans but your companion is making money from trade goods so he does get trade XP. At 225 trade skill you get "Eveything has a price" perk which allows you to barter settlements.

Where is the option to GIVE AWAY feifs?
DAMMIT THEODORA - erm i mean "Rhaega" - I can't defned all these-
quit giving them to me- the aren't even NEAR each other.

Can i just be a governor of a SINGLE "theme" ( region )?

waste 200 influence to vote to give one away, nothing.
Talk to lords, NOTHING.
.... If only i could give them to mercs and make them *MY* vassals
( BL seems to lack the layers of management , it's more either or )....

I'm quite annoyed.
Give it to one of these lords we uh "recruited" who has no fief.. or at best 1.
Quit stacking them on me- I can't be everywhere at once you crazy smirking psycho not-Theodroa who thinks I'm Belisarius...

I was just messing with trading and I find it quite annoying to be honest. The prices are constantly changing, the information is pretty much hit or miss, when asking citizens to see if they say something about where to sell goods it's also very hit or miss since many times I ask everyone and not a single one says anything about that. You also need to make a lot of proffit just to get some minor exp(1 or 2 points).

Better to just take the castles\towns by force. Faster and probably far less expensive as well.

I couldn't be bothered doing it but if you went full charisma and put 5 focus points in trade asap and made your build around it i reckon you could pretty easily hit 200+ trade and a million or 2 gold pretty fast.

If you learn what areas produce what and where things sell high because of that it's really easy for example the city you start next to you can usually buy 2 mules and rest of your gold on cheap beer sell it at the village to your left for 1k as thats all they have, still have half the beer and go up a few trade levels. beer prices arent always cheap there when you start but most of the time ive found its decent.
