Best traits for companions leading caravans
What would be the best companion traits for one leading a caravan, scouting?, tactics? trade?

Scouting and then tactics are the best ones currently, as it keeps your caravans more safe

Errm, you sure about that ? Riding affects horse speed on tactical maps but I've seen no evidence it effects strategic map speed.

Trading is useful to improve how much money they make. None of the feats apply but the base bonus should impact them as party leader.

Was looking for companion with tactics, scouting and trade. Could not even find one with 2 out of those 3. Went for Thorgud the brave who had good tactics and combat skills too. Gave him some nice gear so fingers crossed.

The Spicevendor is a good companion for caravans, and can also be used as Governor too.

That's the one i used before the changes to caravans. As soon as the patch hit poor Janab the spice vendor promptly got rid of loads of her guards and then got captured. :steamsad:
