Tips to obtain a specific settlement while being a vassal?
Maybe someone asked this before, but im just curious about how the hell can i obtain a faction settlement while being vassal of that faction? Ive tried increase relationship with the clan ruler and farming tons of influence to begin a votation, but that mf (derhert? Herbert? idk, the coward moustache guy from vlandia) still negates me the settlement. The only ways im thinking are now:

-Being a vassal of another faction, wipe Vlandia´s ♥♥♥ with others help and conquer that settlement and maybe the new ruler will give me the settlement?
-Being a mechant and going full trade to buy the settlement (i wanted a war-like character, damm)
-Being independent and conquer by force (ive tried like 4 characters doing this while independent, was so hard to even conquer a castle).

Is there any other idea? Thx!

As far as I am aware, you have to build your influence within the faction to then use said influence and effectively throw your weight around to barter for taken settlements. I recall seeing a post previously, where a player was almost single-handedly taking enemy castles and cities, for them to be given to other Lords. I am still quite green to the game so hopefully a player with more hours ingame can assist.

You know whats also funny ?

Loosing one of your cities , retaking it and not getting it back ..ruler gives it to someone else.
I hate it .. they need to look at that again.

When you're a vassal just use you influence to support the ruling clan. Eventually it will get to the point where the ruling lord gives you more land than you can handle, especially if you favor your companions in your party.

Edit: I think that's where the children come into play. Once they're of age you can send them to manage the castles and towns you own.

The strenght of your clan affects things too, so I assume that is having companion parties out. The King is more likely to please strong clans. This is at least for the votings.

Also player ha bias in the voting, and no settlements gives it too, and the location of your other fiefs affect things too.

Relation-ships affect things too, getting majority vote from other vassals.

For the specific one, there is an option to change owner of a settlement with influence, in the Kingdoms menu, I haven't tested it yet tough, not sure what it does.

Get strong clan and get 100 relations with leader, then start vote to take fief from other clan, increases ur chances greatly.
