Voting to change fief ownership within a kingdom--Anyone know how it works?
I am well within a Khuzait playthrough, I own Uriskala castle (captured by the Khanate from Sturgia), but I am more interested in owning Usek castle (traditional Khuzait castle owned by the Arkit clan).

How do I go about passing a proposal to change owners? Whenever I propose a vote, it fails. Is this because the Arkit clan has higher relation with other lords ( My character has several Khuzait clans as friends, with a few of them around the 50 relation mark)? Maybe it's influence based? Anyone know how this mechanic functions?

I've tried proposing to change ownership of my own fief, but it's unanimously opposed by every lord--I always keep it in the end (interesting to note, I get big relation boost with all Khuzait clans every time I try to rid myself of Uriskala lmao)

I'd like to do this within the game, not through editing xmls or mods (unless this mechanic is bugged)

I'm interested in this as well.

I know you can sort of cheese it by using the very overpowered end-game Trade mechanic that basically allows you to buy the city from the Lord in question. You might be able to use the Barter mechanic?

As far as how it functions... I don't really know that any mechanics have gotten any official explanation other than maybe a few in the TW forums where player were bughunting. There are, of course, "code" dissertations and the like on various things, but not all of those make sense by other bits of code that probably come to bear.

I would think that the King is key and having a good relationship with him would be required. It's "his" fief, after all, that he's letting some Lord rule over in his stead. The rest, if voting is required, would be up to those lending their influence.

It could be a feature that's not fully implemented if all the Lords are always voting against it. That sounds like a "default" reaction thing. Surely, if not, there's be at least a few voting idiots out there that would vote for just about anything, right?
It starts a vote for a new ruler of that castle. I'm pretty sure that you are always an option along with the original owner. The last is maybe the king?

I can only barter denars and inventory with other lords within my faction. The option to barter fiefs is greyed out.
Slight update: Relation does play a small role. I have attained 100 relation with every Khuzait vassal, except Monchug (58 relation). The vote went from 32% chance to around 38%

Dont' bother, even when it succeeds nothing changes.
